Kauai Shores Hotel

Kauai Shores Hotel is a comfortable, spacious, well-appointed, and quiet hotel on a nice beach. The onsite restaurant offers good dinner options, and the hotel's location is convenient to downtown Kapaa. We stayed overnight for an early morning airport departure. The location is very accessible and easy to reach. We would stay here again.

Nice property in good location for exploring all areas of Kauai. Rooms were clean and comfortable. Good staff. Lava Lava lounge was convenient and had good food and nightly entertainment. Very windy in February which made it a little difficult to enjoy the oceanfront location. Complimentary bike use for the adjacent bike path was a nice bonus.

I loved the grounds. The hotel had a great vibe and I would stay at Kauai Shores again for that very reason. Rooms were clean, and well appointed.

We were looking for a great hotel - not megaresort - in a prime, centrally located area and we hit the absolute jackpot with Kauai Shores Hotel. Great updated rooms, ideal location, excellent amenities and fantastic staff. We could not have been happier with our stay and will absolutely be back!

this was our second stay at Kauai Shores Hotel, and just like the first, it couldn’t have been better. (Okay, maybe the weather wasn’t perfect this year.)

We stayed twelve nights and were genuinely sad to leave. This place is a great value in a fantastic location. We mostly head to the north shore beaches but also go south occasionally, and the central location makes both easy. There are plenty of food options nearby, including the Coconut Marketplace right next door.

The beach is wonderful, and we swam daily. What really makes this hotel special is the mellow vibe that permeates the entire property — from the colors and layout to the low-key, extremely polite, and professional staff. The grounds are immaculate, and the rooms are well maintained.

This isn’t a glitzy resort full of cocktail lounges and water slides. Instead, it’s a beautiful, smaller operation on a great beach with lots of affordable food choices within walking distance and free valet parking.

We’re already planning our next trip.

Excellent place to stay. Love the location on the island. Enjoyed the layout of the buildings and our room. Ideally, you want a room with at least a garden view where you can look towards and see the ocean (unless you purchase an ocean view room). All staff were kind and did their jobs well. Room was clean, great shower and plenty of space for luggage. The food is very good (and expensive as you would expect). Great music from the the Lava Lava Beach Club which is on the property. We were in Lani 264 (Garden Room) that was great, not close to a stairwell, and we could see the ocean from a distance.

It was a milestone anniversary trip and we were so happy with Kauai Shores. We woke up to watch the sunrise over the water each morning, took walks on the shoreline path each day, rode the bikes that were provided, and could go to any part of the island quickly. We knew we would spend our days out, so we weren't looking to spend all of our money on lodging. It was clean, comfortable, and convenient with friendly staff. Would make the same choice again!

Laid back vibes with a stunning view and amazing staff. With Lava Lava Beach Club on the property, you can have breakfast right on the ocean or enjoy dinner with live entertainment. Within walking range of the Coconut Marketplace where they have a farmers market every Tuesday and Thursday- stop by for some fresh fruit or a smoothie. The rooms are beautiful and the property is well manicured. I was on a solo trip and felt safe and comfortable the entire time. Whole staff were amazing and kind 10/10 recommend!
