Red Roof Inn PLUS+ Mt Pleasant - Patriots Point

Light above the sink did not work. I could not see to put on my makeup. The mattress on the bed was like sleeping in a hotdog bun. Very uncomfortable. The room smelled as if someone had puked. Upon investigating, the carpet on both sides of the bed smelled liked vomit. The water in the bathtub went out very slowly while showering. I stayed at this hotel a year ago and was pleased. This stay however lacked a lot to be desired.

When we checked in and got to the room there was no remote to the TV, The room was nasty and dusty, under the beds was trash and food, someone's underwear left under the air condition unit, and there were no toiletries in the room.

Pictures online were nothing like what the room actually looked like. Door kept sticking to get into the room, we had to shoulder slam the door every time to get it to open. Every single day the key card disconnects and you have to go to the office to get it reset. They kept saying to not put it in wallets or near phones, so I kept it in my shirt pocket, yet it still happened. Person next to us had a huge dog that barked for a considerable amount of time and poop was left right outside the door. The roof was falling apart and flaking off, the furniture was clearly super old and falling apart. Parts of the floor and baseboards were coming up

The room was dirty. There were hairs in the bed and on the pillows, the towels in the bathroom were dirty and stained and so it was the blanket on the bed. The furniture was old and ruined and the carpet on the floor was dirty. Above all, the whole room smelled like mould and was very humid. I felt so uncomfortable to breath that awful air that I checked out one day earlier and I moved to another hotel.
It was the worse experience I had in my whole life (and I’ve been travelling for a long time).

The cleanliness left something to be desired. There were hairs in the room & molded food in the microwave. Then I was charged $50 additional to my credit card. First and last time staying at a Red Roof.

The main issue is the need to improve cleanliness. The sheets in my first room were stained. The air conditioning vents were filled with dust, hair, etc. The floors near baseboards were dirty. The bathtub and sink had hairs. The trash was piled high by the stairwells and stayed there for days. Air-conditioner condensation on sidewalks revealed a brown liquid coming out of some units.

My second room had been marked by a dog or cat and had a disgusting smell. Many guests have pets which isn't helping housekeeping at all!

The light over the bathroom sink seldom worked.

The toilet seat was missing a screw support and the toilet sometimes needed to be flushed 3 times as you needed to hold down the handle down.

It was gross and unclean

Grungy, staff was rude, towels were never replaced even when I asked for them, no soap, had to ask for toilet paper, was charged a non disclosed security deposit and fee for a safe I didn’t use. Ac barely cooled at all.

Rooms were not very clean. Initially checking in we were given a room that we pretty sure wasn’t cleaned at all, smelled like dog, mold on ceiling and lamp, and hairs all throughout the room. The new room was better however still was not the cleanest. Had to clean the room, buy clean towels, etc. for myself to feel comfortable to stay there. Also, keys kept stop working for us. Over the week we were there we had to go to the front desk 4 times to fix our keys. Overall compared to prices of other places this place is decent but most likely will not be back.
