The view of Lake Huron
The location

Cons:

The room had a foul smell, the room was very dark, the elevator was old and needed paint, the pool was not lit well at all. The breakfast was very plain. Definitely not worth the money I paid to stay there!

Very nice room and staff were very kind and helpful
Pros:

Liked the lakefront view and the indoor pool

Cons:

The breakfast room was pure chaos. The table in the middle of the room as soon as you walk in makes getting around the room to get food a bit of a hassle.

Website states check in is at 3 pm, we arrived at 3pm and were told to come back at 4pm because checkin was at 4 pm not 3 pm . The staff stated website is wrong. Screens had holes in them so window could not be opened.killed 7 spiders in our room in the time we were there. 1st day we were down for breakfast at 7:26 am and eggs and sausage were gone , hardly and fruit left . Very disappointed .Next day we were there at 7:10 am and was able to get a decent breakfast. The patio was full of webs,bugs and debris .

We had a great time on the island. The hotel was just a place to sleep so it was ok.Typical Wyndham

It is a very dated hotel. My bedspread was stained....it should have been replaced.

I would stay again it was what we wanted for a beach walkout.
Pros:

It was great right by the beach.

Cons:

It was hard with no elevator to get our stuff to room. But understand it was on bottom floor for walkout. Wish they would make a designated spot for dogs to go to bathroom.

Satisfactory, but nothing special
Pros:

Good location, directly on Lake Huron, large standard room, large bathroom area with sink outside the shower and toilet area, which is a benefit in getting ready. Free shuttle pick-up to the ferry to Lake Michigan.

Cons:

Sheets that didn’t fit the mattress, thus showing badly stained mattress pad cover. Patio furniture and lake/beach furniture old or nonexistent. Beach area very unkept
