The staff was cheerful and helpful but the outdoors need a lot of love and attention.
Pros:

Room was nice but renovation need to be continued even while gueats are there. Outside property was in need of a lot of work.

Beautiful Lake Sunrises
Pros:

Being right on the lake and having a view of Mackinac Island from our rooms was a big plus. My nephews also loved playing in the pool and playing along the beach.

Cons:

It could definitely use some updates. The toilet seat was not attached right in one of our rooms which was annoying. The screen doors to the balcony were also in rough shape so you had to keep the main door closed all the time.

The view was fantastic and it was a short drive to anywhere in St Ignace, Michigan.

Cons:

Room didn't have a microwave, the pool room was dirty our backdoor was cracked when we first arrived and the playground was washedout and dangerous.

Time for a Refresh
Pros:

The site overlooking the lake is great with every room having a view. The staff was very helpful in calling the free shuttle to the ferry for us.

Cons:

With the recent change in brand, hopefully so changes will occur. The breakfast room is woefully inadequate to accommodate the number of people in the hotel. We gave up and had breakfast at a local restaurant instead. And the rooms are dated and in need of a refresh.
