I love that the rooms are big and have a lot space ,and most of the staff were very friendly and helpful .

I always enjoy the suite with the TV and coffee maker, etc. in the front room, separate from the sleeping area. Of course, the complementary breakfast is excellent. The staff is solicitous and friendly.

This hotel is well set up for families and groups traveling together. Our group (2 adults, teenager) fit well in the suite, with some measure of privacy for all. Breakfast was great and easy to manage, although slightly crowded at times.

Embassy Suites E Dyer Road Santa Ana CA, 7/29-8/2, rooms 705, 710. I like staying at Embassy Suites, it is my Hotel of choice and I am never disappointed, until now. I have some basic requirements for a hotel. First, security. I had 2 rooms for my family and neither door would close completely. Second, the hot water needs to be hot. My wife took a shower and said the water never got hot. I let the water run for a while then took a lukewarm shower. On our way out I reported it to the front desk, their response was “did you let the water run for at least 15 minutes”. Seriously? I did this for future showers and the tub, which drained slow, completely filled. The water did get warmer and was finally hot after nearly 20 minutes. But we had 3 adults in our room, times 3 tub fulls of water, times 100s of rooms, how many gallons of waisted water is that? Third, I like a comfortable room temperature. I eventually ran the setting to full cold. The room stayed at 74-76, it was stuffy and hot. We kept the curtains closed and that did not help. The room was very noisy, even into the night. The sliding door didn’t look closed so i tried to close it only to realize the frame was actually coming apart. I also noticed the bathroom sink was being held up by a 2x4. The bedroom door and bathroom door were both hard to close. It looked like the hinges were not working correctly. Really, get maintenance into the room and get things fixed properly. One of the big things I like about ES is the breakfast in the morning. I ordered an omelet and asked for jalapeños, no, jalapeños are on Fridays. I asked if they had bacon, no, bacon is on Mondays. I like the sour dough bread they have at ES, but not available at this ES. We went down for the evening reception, about 5:45, and everything was gone except for the pretzel mix. Nothing was replaced. It looked like they had cherry tomatoes and a small bowl of hummus. Maybe they are saving money on food in order to pay for all the waisted water. We don’t make it to the reception all the time when we are at ES, but they usually have a lot more food and the staff keeps things replenished. Towels seemed to be in short supply. We went to the pool, no towels. The workout room, no towel. (The cable machine was broken, the cable was lying on the floor). Apparently the lack of towels was an issue for many guests, I went down to the desk to get some and the other people in line were all getting towels.Finally the furnishings. Everything was old and the veneers were coming off and splitting. The springs in the chairs were shot, the seats basically bottomed out, both in the room and in the lobby. I think the last time pillows were replaced was a decade ago. Two weeks before our stay in CA, we stayed at ES in Jackson MS. It was an awesome hotel. The staff were courteous, friendly and so helpful, the rooms were the best, and the breakfast was perfect. Sadly we went from the best to the worst. I will not stay at Embassy Suites E Dyer Road Santa Ana CA again and would not recommend it to anyone.

I've stayed in budget motels with more dignity than this Embassy Suites in Santa Ana. The lobby promises "upscale all-suite comfort." The rooms deliver "we gave up sometime around 2014." Worn carpets, tired furniture, and a general air of a property that hasn't seen a maintenance budget since the Obama administration. A Motel 6 would've been a lateral move at best.

Then there's breakfast, that sacred Embassy Suites birthright. Here it felt less like a hot breakfast and more like a hostage situation, dim, sparse, and clearly assembled by someone actively trying to leave. Compare that to the Embassy Suites in Anaheim, just down the road, which somehow got the memo on what this brand is supposed to be: fresh options, real hospitality, a staff that seems to want you there.

The gap between these two properties, wearing the same name under the same flag, is almost impressive. Someone in Santa Ana management decided that "good enough" was the ceiling, not the floor, and cut every corner they could find. The result is a property that trades on Hilton's reputation while doing nothing to earn it.

Save yourself the disappointment. Drive the extra fifteen minutes to Anaheim.

location is good if you want to be near the Santa Ana airport and surrounding cities for Irvine and Anaheim. It's the discount way to go. However, beware if you are looking for comfort and luxury, it's not for you. It's an old building, older than the pictures. The beds and pillows were good, bathrooms are old. There is a gym, but feels like a closet with very old equipments. located within the pool. The breakfast was not good. The sausages were undercooked. Shocking they did not even have hot sauce. My room was in front of the elevator, have the junior suite style. TV channels did not work. my safe battery was out - did not work, and the phone was barely functioning. Thank goodness I stayed for only 2 nights.
