Staff weren’t welcoming
Good location for airport
We asked for a family room. My husband has a catheter so it helps if we have separate beds and although there was a sofa bed in our room it was not made up nor was there bedding available so we could make it ourselves
I would recommend this ONLY if you are flying from Birmingham or have a layover. If you are someone looking for a Hotel in this area for any other business, you sure have better options.
The location is within the premium parking zone even for drip off. You will struggle to order food as delivery will include 6£ of premium charge. If you want to order an uber that will be 7£ above your ride only to pick you up from the hotel. The Hotel SHOULD highlight this on their website and description and Booking should add a notice for people to be insight before booking.
The room was not as clean as expected. Carpet had stains and there was no table tissue in the room. Toilet was separate from shower and extremely tight that if you enter you have yo sit or jump up on the toilet seat to close the door. Sound proofing was good but at 6 am you will hear someone moving trollies on the next floor. I asked room service to clean my room, came back to find they had only tidied up with a dirty floor. Had to call reception and ask for someone to hoover the floor which they did.
The toilet bin had to be opened manually which is an odd thing to do after washing your hands.
Bed was so comfortable
Next to the terminal
The room was dirty, with stains all over the carpet, and the sofa bed wasn’t even made properly. The first room we were given had a clogged bathtub, so we had to change rooms.
The bed sheets had holes in them !
There were at least six families waiting, and the staff would not allow anyone to check in. They insisted they only find out whether rooms are cleaned and ready at 3 PM, which seemed highly unusual.
I stayed there solely because I had an early morning flight; otherwise, there’s nothing particularly appealing about this accommodation.
I didn’t like it. The rooms were dirty, with stains throughout, and the sofa bed wasn’t even made properly. The first room we were given had a clogged bathtub, so we had to change rooms.
The staff were friendly, beds were comfortable
The bath was so high, my father & daughter were unable to get into the shower . My daughter has a visual impairment and my father has knee discomfort. Last time we visited, the room was far more suitable. Prices have gone up quite a lot. For the time we were at the hotel.
I had to remake the bed. And my husband had to mend the toilet as it wouldn’t flush. We had a drink in the bar I asked for a cup of tea. Having travelled all day. And was told the machine was turned off. He only had to boil a kettle! It certainly wasn’t worth the money.
Brilliant location !!
