Clean and comfortable, the rooms were well appointed. Nice lobby area.
The location is not that great, having said that taxis are plentiful and very cheap to get into the centre of HCMC. Breakfast was a bit average, on first glance lots of options but most of it a bit tired after being left out for so long. Good coffee though. The pool area is very small and not enough seating. Very bureaucratic check in with lots of paperwork to be signed.

The breakfast and entire atmosphere was incredible. The food was amazing- in quality, taste and service. The customer service was kind, accomodating and simply wonderful especially the skills and kindness of Mr Phong, Ms Lien and all the other servers were so lovely and attentive - I hope their wonderful qualities are well recognised. We could not recommend it enough!

The atmosphere: so relaxing and inviting you to unwind after a busy day of work or sightseeing . They treat you as a royal and pay attention to personal details . Hotel rooms and apartments are exactly what you need. The hotel entrance it’s a bit tucked away on a small street so no big avenue to exit directly on a busy crazy load road.
Mr Phong , the manager from the Restaurant: “ c’est la vie. “ it’s so delightful person and wants to please you and he is making sure you have everything you need . Any special diet request I had he responded right away . The food it’s exactly what you need. The presentation it’s outstanding. All the personnel are are very attentive and friendly.

This is the second time for my wife and I to stay at Mai House Hotel. The location is calm and quiet yet not far from the hustle and bustle of shopping, eating, and entertainment. Best of all, the service here is outstanding. From the front desk to the door man. Room and amenities kept us very comfortable.
Mr. Phong greeted us for our daily breakfast with a warm smile and excellent service. We look forward to our next visit to Vietnam and returning to Mai House Hotel.
Lovely hotel away from the hustle and bustle but still close enough to get into the action if you want. Great facilities. Very clean. Mr Phong is a great host in the restaurant and the staff are very kind and helpful.
Thereafter I made my direct booking with Mai House, the hotel reservation immediately contacted me through emails about my arrival date as I put down 1:00am as my arrival time and that was a good gesture by the hotel reservation for avoiding confusion.
I arrived after mid-night and the check-in experience was not as smooth as expected as somebody’s credit card number was mistakenly referred to for my booking. So, I had to pull out my credit card and to redo all the card authorisation formalities. Also, the reception was not overly friendly but he just did his job. On the contrary, the bell boy was surprisingly courteous and welcoming and he spoke better English than the reception. The bell boy prepared my welcome drink and escorted me with a smile. It would be a totally different check-in experience if the reception could carry the same outstanding attitude as the bell boy.
My request for a room on high floor was honoured. Room 1203 was clean and the bedding was comfortable and the in-room floral arrangement was nice. Not sure if I was a direct booking guest, I was offered two VND200k food vouchers which was nice. The room was tastefully decorated but this type of carpet fabric could be worn out easily and the carpet had already shown signs of wear and tear.
In essence, the most disturbing aspect was the excessive noise from the air return, the noise level was comparable to being inside an aircraft cabin. Also, I could hear clearly of my neighbours laughing. Moreover, the water temperature in the shower was not stable in the first night but that didn’t happen on my departure date.
Overall, the staffs in the breakfast venue were courteous and efficient. On the contrary, the ones that handled my check-in and check-out were not overly enthusiastic but just doing their job.
The breakfast spread and quality were reasonable, noting extraordinary to write about. This was my genuine review and I hope the hotel management could refer to for staff recognitions and improvements.
I wanted to try a hotel beyond the international chains scene, so I chose Mai House.
The hotel has a great location, just steps away from District 1.
It ticks all the boxes when it comes to facilities and service.
I truly felt the authentic Vietnamese hospitality here.
I can't miss mentioning the outstanding food quality either.
