Be aware during the summer months through September 7th that live music is played during the day and evening Friday through Saturday and official hosted pool parties occur Sundays from 14:00 to 18:00, as well as our Night Swim on Tuesday evenings from 20:00 to 02:00.

The Roosevelt is a frequent stay for us. We love hotels with history and old Hollywood vibes and the Roosevelt has it in spades! There is simply no place like it and if you love feeling like a celebrity, this is your spot. The customer service every stay has been top notch. We have only ever stayed in the cabana rooms (we just love the pool vibes and the little oasis back there!) we prefer the balcony rooms, but the cabana room that walk out to the pool are also very cool. The Tropicana bar is perfect and I honestly think the oysters we get at the Roosevelt are my favorite (we were in Hollywood just last weekend, not staying at the Roosevelt, but popped into the lobby for oysters, steak frites and martinis… all perfection!) Definitely check out the Spare Room! One of these days we will get to a show or an event at the Cinegrill too. There is always something cool going on at the Roosevelt and so much Hollywood history (Marilyn’s Suite, the Shirley Temple Steps, the Gable/Lombard penthouse, the artwork pool, the first Academy Awards) it really is a must visit if you come to Hollywood!

Location is excellent for anyone visiting Hollywood for the first time, you can walk and do the hike up to the Hollywood sign too if you are fit/enjoy long walks. The gym has everything you need for a decent work out (free weights, bench, cable machine, few ergs). Pool area is lovely.
The staff were useless, I waited a long time to check in and the staff member didn't apologise, additionally he didn't give us any info on the hotel at all. Generally speaking the staff don't know or go out of their way to help with questions which is a huge contrast to my stay in another hotel in the area the week before.

Esta foi a segunda vez que nos hospedamos neste hotel e, infelizmente, a experiência foi muito diferente da primeira. O atendimento na recepção deixou a desejar, com postura pouco profissional e falta de preparo por parte da equipe.
Ficamos hospedados por três noites em um quarto da categoria “Cabana” e tivemos dificuldades para descansar devido a ruídos constantes, tanto de áreas internas do hotel quanto de funcionários. Solicitamos a troca de quarto, mas o atendimento inicial não foi cordial nem resolutivo, o que tornou a situação ainda mais desgastante.
Quando a mudança foi finalmente realizada, foi cobrada uma diferença por um quarto do mesmo nível, sem que isso tivesse sido claramente combinado ou explicado previamente. Além disso, o valor do estacionamento chamou atenção negativamente, sendo bastante elevado (US$ 75 + taxas).
Escolhi o hotel para celebrar meu aniversário de 50 anos, o que acabou sendo uma grande decepção, especialmente porque nossa estadia anterior, há cerca de três anos, havia sido muito positiva. Infelizmente, percebemos uma queda significativa na qualidade do atendimento da recepção.
Por essas razões, não recomendo a hospedagem. É uma pena, pois já foi um hotel excelente no passado.
I want everyone working at the Hollywood Roosevelt Hotel to know how I appreciate your dedication and hard work. I'm sure it's not easy juggling a number of things. That said, I believe my stay was smooth and easygoing. I highly recommend this hotel for those looking for an on point experience that mixes glamour, style and a sense of adventure. Wonderful rooms. And the best location, right in the heart of Hollywood. In fact, the Hollywood Roosevelt Hotel is the Heart of Hollywood.
We visited the Hollywood Roosevelt with our tween sons for spring break, and I quickly realized that Hollywood and the general sprawl of LA is not for me. We ended up canceling some of our planned pit stops and lounged at the pool instead. Even though the hotel is in the epicenter of the touristy part of Hollywood, it’s extremely quiet and the pool is a relaxing retreat that is both kid and adult friendly. Our loft suite was huge with two bathrooms and gave us plenty of space. I probably won’t return to Hollywood, but if I do, I’ll stay at the Roosevelt.

It's my favourite place to stay in any big city in the world. Very funky. The staff are amazing l. The Many bars nails what's already a great experience!!!!

Beautiful hotel with great service and staff. Even though it is in the centre of the blvd our room was very quiet.
The room was a little small and the beds are very small. We were two adults and two teens and we were only ever given three towels, even after repeated requests for a towel each. There was also no kettle to make a cup of coffee or tea so every time you want that it costs you.
They only had one sheet in the bedding.

We had a lovely stay, spending days lounging by the pool and eating the most delicious meals at the Shirley restaurant. Clean, great location, perfect pool temperature and super helpful staff.
The only thing was the aircon in our room was a little noisy.
