The hotel staff was very cordial at checking. Mktchell was extremely helpful with my luggage and made me aware I f the hotel amenities.

I stayed at The Westin Governor Morris in Morristown from January 29 to February 6 and was charged a $500 “smoking/cleaning” fee that is completely unjustified.
I was never informed that the hotel uses in‑room “advanced air quality monitoring technology” beyond normal smoke detectors, yet after several days into my stay I was suddenly accused of smoking in my room based solely on a sensor report. No one contacted me at the time of the alleged incident, and no staff member inspected the room until I repeatedly pushed for answers.
When I finally obtained the sensor report, it showed wildly extreme readings (including particulate levels dozens of times above the normal range) and a room temperature of 76.6°F even though my thermostat was set to 68°F. Two managers later came to my room, confirmed the thermostat was in fact set to 68, that the room did not smell like smoke (one said it smelled like normal deodorizer), and that housekeeping had never reported any issue during my week‑long stay. Despite this, the hotel still processed the $500 fee.
There were:
No photos of any evidence
No documented odor
No housekeeping report
No proof of any special cleaning being done
Just a questionable sensor reading that even their own staff couldn’t reconcile with the actual condition of the room.
This experience has completely destroyed my trust in this property. Guests should be very aware that they can be hit with a huge “smoking” fee based on opaque, poorly explained sensors and no real evidence, even after a clean, problem‑free stay. I will be avoiding this hotel in the future and pursuing this charge with my credit card company and with the brand’s corporate office.
From check-in to check-out, the staff was friendly and quick with getting us settled in and making sure we were completely satisfied. The entire hotel was extremely clean. We spent time at the bar and the staff there was also very friendly and a beautiful atmosphere.
Would definitely recommend and stay again!
Great tree when we walked in. The staff was polite. Warm welcome. We had an easy check in everyone was professional. Great size rooms. The Resturant we were having dinner at was near by kinda like thru the hotel.
One small issue: the bar for New Year's Eve required additional assistance. There was only one individual attempting to serve too many people.
The service, rooms and service were exceptional. Mitchell and Mikhaela were so nice and helped me throughout the trip. I would love to come here again. Definitely recommend to business travellers. My stay was nothing but a dream.
Do not stay here! I stayed for three night while on a business trip. After returning home, received an email stating that I would be fined $500 for smoking in my room. I replied to the email asking for confirmation that it had been sent in error because I 100% did not smoke or vape in my room. The management responded with a report showing a sensor went off in my room - THIS IS WHEN I WAS DRYING MY HAIR! I followed up with multiple phone calls and emails. They refused to reverse the charge. Do not stay here. This is a scam and a fraud. A revenue generator for the hotel.

Stayed here for a business trip. It’s conveniently located in Morristown, NJ with easy access to 287. Hotel lobby and restaurant look very nice and updated. The rooms are a bit dated but the are renovating them. I had a very nice stay and was very impressed with all the staff I interacted with. Numerous staff emailed me prior and after my stay and texted me during the stay to make sure it was going well. I travel all the time and most hotels do not provide that level of customer service. I would recommend!
This hotel was incredible. The onsite restaurant was 10/10 in terms of service and food quality. We got the seafood pasta and Halibut.
The front desk was so welcoming. Sean checked us in and was super nice. The rooms and rainfall shower were clean and very enjoyable.

It was a good location to my family for an event, not far from Highway/Parkway. Also was able to go to a Park located 1 mile. The hotel was comfortable for my Pet. I was able to walk my Pet in the surrounding area of the Hotel and they even had Doggie bags available. Check in was easy. There was a resturant on the premises and a little coffee spot and a snack notch. The room was spacious for all of us. Duplex area with double bed with a couch area. Our dog had a wonderful time looking at her self in the full size mirror and plenty of space to walk about.

The outdoor pool was supposed to be heated, but it was very cold. The bathroom door in our room wouldn’t fully close. The restaurant was very fancy, so without room service we had to order delivery to get more kid friendly food.
Our guests and families stayed at The Westin for after our wedding. The location was so convenient from our venue and the hotel was decorated so beautifully for Christmas. I truly have no words to describe how incredible the stay was. Every room was clean & organized, the most comfortable beds and pillows I think I have ever experienced at a hotel. The space was incredible and we even added on the breakfast which was also amazing! Every person we worked with was incredible and service was truly 10/10. I would recommend them to every single person who is trying to pick their hotel wedding.
Everyone at the Westin was so welcoming and helpful. I stay at a lot of hotels and it’s always refreshing to have employees that go above and beyond. Also Mitchell was a blast to talk to and gave some great recommendations.
Bed? Excellent. Shower? Perfectly fine. Location? Worked for me. But I have stayed in hotels all around the world and never had a warmer, more informative, more welcoming and HAPPIER arrival greeting than I did from Mitchell at the Bell Captains desk!

The hotel was great. Loved the decorations. The staff was helpful (gave us a snow brush to clean our rental car). Mitchell was especially attentive explaining all the amenities and had a big greeting when he saw us around the lobby.
Mitchel was great helping us to our room. Amazing start to hopefully a great stay. Here for a wedding tomorrow. First time staying at this location.
