Cute country hotel, cosy rooms, comfortable beds, breakfast included. Staff were friendly and even provided standing fans when requested and fixed the tv when there were issues.
Our rooms had slanted ceilings and we hit our heads multiple times so beware. For breakfast: Scrambled eggs were very runny so could be improved and more vegetables / fresh fruits as part of the offering would be good, although the kitchen gave a larger portion of mushrooms when requested.
The location is amazing, next to the lake. Clean and helpful staff.
Our room was too hot and you couldn’t even open the windows properly. The facilities are quite old and when the train passes you could feel the bed shacking. We also heard the person next door snoring. I think a bit overpriced overall.
Food was really good and staff friendly.
Close to railway line but this didn't bother us as the line is not really busy and, trains don't run through the night.
Very helpful staff and excellent dinner
Lovely hotel, staff (very pleasant and knowledgeable about things to do in the area, breakfast (lots of choice) and location. An in between base for Aviemore and the wildlife park at Kingussie, with Loch Insh right there.
Only my own preference, but the bed was too soft for me and my partner. Depends what you like, but that was the only dislike and as I said my own preference.
The atmosphere of the place and the bed was wonderful. As with any travel to the UK in the summer, pack a sleeping mask if you need complete darkness to sleep. Very few hotels below 300 quid a night provide "blackout" curtains.
There sincerely is nothing I didn't like
Sehr ruhig aber wunderschön gelegen. Ein kurzer Fussmarsch führt direkt zum See. Das Essen im Restaurant war exzellent und hat ausgezeichnet geschmeckt.

Very cozy cottage feel. Staff were wonderful, very helpful. Also there is EV charging which if that’s not advertised it should be - it helped out figuring out charging a lot!
I had no things I didn’t like.
Beautiful property, good rooms
Restaurant is not great and is expensive. The hotel refused to recommend a family restaurant in Aviemore. Breakfast included but not good.
We stayed with our black labrador. The walks for the dog were FANTASTIC. At the back of the car park is a wooden gate taking you into a vast meadow on the shores of Loch Alvie. absolutely perfect for a lovely dog walk.
Great breakfast
Clean and hood breakfast
Evening dinner choice was a bit limited
Nice lounge areas for relaxing. Dinner was lovely. Breakfast granola, yoghurt and fruit great.
Bad smell in room. Welcome was a bit off - not overly friendly.
Breakfast - overcooked and dried out black pudding. Tasted like it had been cooked an hour earlier.
