Diamond-Level Hospitality Starts with Melissa
Pros:

Melissa at the front desk truly delivered what being a Diamond member is all about. From the moment I arrived, she made the experience feel warm, personal, and genuinely welcoming. Her energy was amazing — professional, friendly, and full of positive hospitality that instantly stood out.

She took the time to recognize my status, thoughtfully reviewed available room options, and provided an upgrade that made the stay even more special. Beyond that, her knowledge of the hotel, amenities, and surrounding area was incredibly helpful. She gave great recommendations and made sure I felt comfortable and taken care of throughout the interaction.

What really made the experience memorable was her personality. Melissa creates the kind of atmosphere that makes guests want to come back. She represents hospitality at its best and is exactly the type of team member that makes loyal guests feel valued. Huge thank you to her for going above and beyond and making this stay exceptional.

Beautiful hotel in a beautiful location
Pros:

I had a great time in Del Mar at this beautiful and serene Double Tree hotel. Of course the best part of staying at a Double Tree is delectable and infamous cookie. . The staff was also very nice professional and accommodating. For example Victoria asked us about our day. Sh gave a a suggestion list of restaurants. I will definitely try to stay at this hotel when I’m in the San Diego area again.

Ok for the price but will not stay there again.
Pros:

Nice staff

Cons:

Not enough parking. We were told to park across the street in another facility. No valet parking options here. Not fun looking for parking at 10pm, tired and finding out we have to drive across the street to park in another facility overflow lot.

Very happy pleasant stay
Pros:

When I first arrived Barbara was polite professional and prompt making sure everything was as I needed. She also let me know to let the front desk know if there was anything else needed.

Room was excellently sized and provisioned. The temp control was easy to operate and adjust.

Cons:

The huge TV, possibly 65",was angled/mounted to the wall in a way which made it difficult to correctly view it from the bed. Because of the its size, it was just a tad too wide to be adjust

Not worth the money.
Pros:

The room was large and the pool was nice

Cons:

The breakfast buffet was not great. Same as at a motel. They placed us right near the elevator even though we had an infant. People were super noisy all night.

Beautiful property. Busy location
Pros:

Loved the room on first floor. Bathtub in room was unexpected and nice to have.

Cons:

Too many people in lobby. Ac in room was wuirt uncomfortably cold upon arrival and hard to adjust to confortable 70 degree temp.

The most caring stay at a Hilton property.
Pros:

The hotel was very nice. The employees were very helpful and considerate. The front desk employees were fantastic.
My poor wife had a very bad case of diarrhea. Sam and Payton went beyond what I thought they would. Sam ran to a pharmacy for some Imodium. I gave him some money and he was back in a flash. Later that day my wife was able to leave the room for dinner.
They are very compassionate and empathetic. They disserve recognition.
We always stay at a Hilton property during our travels. This time more than others made me realize that there really are people who care.
