Pros:

Fast check in. Never had to wait for an elevator. Good location. Comfortable bed.

Cons:

Lighting in room not optimal. Needed a light in the closet and the light near the couch was not in the right place for reading. Also room had an odd sofa not comfortable for 2 people. Breakfast at the restaurant wasn't good and was expenisive. Overall the decor wasn't attractive.

Was what we needed to accomplish
Pros:

The location and ease of commuting in Oakland

Cons:

The elevator noise that was very loud in our room, we have stayed in rims near elevators but have never encountered that loud noise

Hotel trying to get over on you
Pros:

Nothing. The staff was rude and kept trying to double charge you. They kept saying the card that was paid with was declined. I was like the room was pretty booked. They would provide last 4 digits of card and would say that card was declined.

upsetting due to the fact that I ended up paying booking.com and the hotel for my stay.
Pros:

Although I ran into booking issues, I was happy with my room.

Cons:

I pre-paid my stay through booking.com, however, when I checked in, I was told by the front desk that no payment was showing for my stay. I showed my confirmation email from booking.com but the front desk clerk told me I needed to pay directly to the hotel in order for me and my wife to stay and to call booking.com to resolve any issues. I was very upset because there should be better communication between the hotel and any third-party booking facility involved.
