This is not a hotel, not an Airbnb, and not what was advertised. I booked 9/4–9/7 expecting a legitimate hotel stay. Instead, I was stranded in the middle of the night with no support.

The address provided was inaccurate and led me to the wrong building. I called the “onsite contact” (Esmeralda) and Marie, who had no issue answering the phone earlier to collect payment, repeatedly for over an hour. Every call went to voicemail. Left alone in a dark neighborhood filled with abandoned buildings, I had to ask a random resident for help, who explained that Stay at Mare had bought the building across the street. That was the only way I was able to find the actual property.

When I finally got into the room nearly two hours later, the lockbox was broken, the code hadn’t been reset, and the unit was filthy. The sheets were stained and scuffed, surfaces had sticky residue, the walls were dirty, and trash from prior guests was still inside. It was uninhabitable.

Marie eventually returned my call only to argue that the address was “accurate” before saying she would look into it and call back. She never did. I have called every day since and been completely ignored.

This operation is deceptive, unsafe, and unprofessional. I had to book another hotel at my own expense because this was not a usable accommodation. A full refund is the minimum acceptable outcome.

Room was small and had a cold appearance. There was no rug or chair. The bed creaked and felt unstable. The bathroom door was not secure and constantly opened without force. The outdoor area is fine. The other visitors were very loud but I could only hear them because the walls are extremely thin. If you knock on the wall or make too heavy of a step, it sounds like a “boom”. This place is more like an Airbnb than hotel. It does not have the resources of a hotel. The location is the best part and I was very satisfied with the commute. I would not book again but if you need a daily cheap stay then it may be worth it.

Liked the room, pool was lovely, bed was fine, balcony was awesome and the AC was chill; however, there were notes in their email about the "European style" door locks. I've stayed in dozens of rooms in Europe and I've never had a door lock this difficult. A coule times I just gave up and left with the door unlocked. I don’t think it was just the lock, it seems my door was not shutting properly to begin with. This is a good place, but this is really an issue they should address.

Desde que llegamos fui muy fácil encontrar el hotel, la entrada, la habitación todo muy organizado, un diseño en su arquitectura y habitaciones minimalista pero lindo. Único y muy cómodo si vas con tu pareja. Muy recomendó. Mi única recomendación es que para su precio sería bueno incluir alguna barra de comida especialmente en el desayuno o snacks esto si es muy importante. Y una nevera en cada habitación ya que la de nosotros no tenía. Y es muy necesaria

The room was a nice size we got a queen bed. My only take away was the small bathroom. You could tell it’s an older building a few minor cosmetic issues in the room but that didn’t bother us. Pool area is nice as well looks like the picture. The beach was 8 min walk and Plenty of restaurants and bars within walking distance as well. We would stay here again.

So unique and beautiful. The pool is just perfect! The shower was perfect. And the grounds were very clean.

The place is great, the pool, location, the design, everything is so nice BUT the check in. And to lock your room you have to turn the handle up, lock it and then let go (it was a little tricky to figure this out). Beside that I really recommend station here, it is quiet, near a lot of places, clean and super pretty.

My boyfriend and I stayed in a room here for a weekend and we actually enjoyed it. The location was honestly perfect, the beach was a 5 minute walk, tons of food and stores everywhere, and came with netflix. I also liked how small and cute the room was. Place was clean but could have been cleaner tbh. Also, loved the tile on the floor, but did not love the open shower concept. Water got everywhere. I would recommend a stay here specially for couples, but just bring your own cleaning supplies and and be ready to search for towels cuz there's not really any housekeeping contact.

Very spacious room. Very kind staff. The full kitchen is outdoors and a shared space. Comes with free drinks. The bathroom window has no curtains or blinds. Parking is street parking. Pool was great, but there are not lawn chairs.

Great location within walking distance of the beach and nearby restaurants/nightlife. We didn’t use the pool but the shared lounge area was nice. The pool was underwhelming compared to photos. The doors to the rooms were very tricky to lock. Also, although the rooms were clean they could use hooks to hang towels as well as additional storage space in the room. Everyone was very friendly and helpful! Overall, great place if you’re looking for a less expensive option.

Steps from the beach, thought it’s a little inconvenient without front desk, but overall it was good
