The room was just a little shabby. ( I stayed at the Sonesta ES Herndon for one night at the beginning of my trip, and the suite was super nice.)

Pros:

Due to severe weather in New York, we were forced to remain in Washington. I booked this hotel somewhat randomly and without high expectations — and I was genuinely surprised.

We truly, truly enjoyed our stay. The hotel is pleasant, aesthetically pleasing, thoughtfully designed, and very well equipped with everything a family might need, including a washer and dryer. It is perfectly suited for a family stay. The staff was extremely kind and welcoming.

The hotel was clean, well maintained, and I honestly have nothing negative to say about it. I wholeheartedly recommend this hotel.
