Other than the comment above it was excellent.
Pros:

The restaurant was very good and well priced

Cons:

I booked on booking and the room was not appropriate for my disabled husband. He cannot lift his leg over a bathtub.. I asked for a chair in the shower. We got a chair in the bathtub. We had to pay an extra $300. which I agreed to. They charged me an extra $363.66. That included re taxing me on the tax I already paid on Booking.com

Would stay again for location and prices were fair but ask for higher floor and would eat elsewhere
Pros:

Perfect location and very clean. Staff were wonderful

Cons:

Pet friendly room was right at end on ground floor so couldn’t open glass door at night. The restaurant was expensive and found food below par (eggs benny was awful and tea was cold)

Exceptional staff and service
Pros:

Staff were so helpful and kind. The front desk, concierge, and housekeeping were exceptionally helpful and nice.

Cons:

Nothing. The experience was great. We will definitely stay there the next time we are in town.

Beautiful Hotel, Basic Amenities Needed
Pros:

We stayed on the 5th floor in the Erickson wing on Valentines Day. Beautiful view of Vic Harbour, big balcony, bright, clean room with a very timeless Asian influenced esthetic. There had been a neighbourhood power outage that day and so systems were down. Despite that staff were calm and upbeat and very helpful.
Aa a 5 star hotel, I do have some recommendations: Bathrobe was provided but no slippers? My feet were freezing from the marble floors and big window. Bathroom amenities like a toothbrush, paste, razor, comb etc. Would have been appreciated - you are 5 star? Also, fridge was empty. I was expecting a couple of complementary bottles of water and usually fridges are stocked with more water, pop, alcohol and maybe snacks for purchase. And finally the TV. Maybe I just couldn't figure it out but all we got was local cable channels. No ability to login in to our streaming services and no hotel info site. Finally, a Bluetooth speaker or music access via the TV would make it top notch.
These are little things. Did not affect our stay (except maybe the slippers, lol) but expected at a 5 star. Staff were wo derful.

Pros:

Total disaster paid $280 for our room, this being our 59 anniversary we were going to stay 2 nights, room was totally outdated, bathroom door was coming apart would not close properly. The heating unit sounded like a diesel truck running and every few minutes would start to roar like a jet engine never shut off at all. We ate in the dining room and my wife started to get ill during the night, needless to say we did not stay the following night. Thankyou Laurel Point inn for a memorable Anniversary, we will not be coming back next year

Beautiful hotel
Pros:

This is a beautiful hotel overlooking the harbour of Victoria. The view from the restaurant is superb.
The hotel is modern and clean with great service.
Plus it's a mere few minutes' walk from the attractions of the city centre, as well as a relatively short walk from the breakwater in the south of the city which overlooks the Salish Sea.
Highly recommended.
