Beautiful room in Downtown Portland
Pros:

This room was unique, extremely beautiful as my friend and I were on a trip up highway 1 from Southern California. It was in a prime location downtown near a lot of things and it was huge.

Quirky, comfortable and convenient locations.
Pros:

the staff was really friendly and helpful. the rooms were large and comfortable. the decor was quirky and fun and loved the key cards. nice fitness center and convenient location

Cons:

sliding door in suite was sticky and noisy. valet fee was quite pricey and parking was terrifying but tricky because of downtown location.

The staff was very understanding of my dilemma of flights that nite! The staff that greeted us was a bit short when asking about accommodations fees and what we could receive since we were not eating in the restaurant...

Cons:

The hotel hallways and our room was not a very pleasant smell.. Maybe hiding dog had been there!! Asked for coffee pot on check-in for 9am .. Had to call 2 times at 920 and 935 to see where it was.

I would never stay at this hotel again due to the poor service and overall disappointing experience.

Cons:

Our stay was very disappointing we book two queen room. Parking was expensive and inconvenient, We had to park 2 blocks away from the hotel because the only parking access to was a 55$ charge or a Valet, housekeeping was not as misinformed, the room was not cleaned properly, basic amenitites ( Microwave and mini fridge) were missing or restirected, We had mimimum access to hot water and coffee and the overall service did not match what was advertised.

Fabulous Cocktails with Friendly Bar Service from Finch on Fifth

While staying at the Royal Sonesta, I stopped by Finch on Fifth for cocktails and was thoroughly impressed. Erick, the bartender, provided an exceptional bar experience from start to finish. His professionalism, warm personality, and attention to detail immediately stood out.
It was obvious Erick has a genuine passion for hospitality that shines through in every interaction. He created an inviting atmosphere, offered thoughtful recommendations, and crafted outstanding cocktails with skill and precision. It's clear he takes pride in making every guest feel welcome and appreciated.
Thank you, Erick, for the excellent service and memorable experience. Finch on Fifth is fortunate to have you behind the bar, and I look forward to visiting again.
