Location. Decor. Buffet.
A bit expensive.
The room had a very unpleasant smell, which made the stay uncomfortable. I would not recommend staying here. The service was also quite poor. When ordering a coffee at breakfast, you can expect to wait around 10 to 15 minutes before it arrives.
The duty manager did not offer satisfactory compensation for the issue. Overall, if you encounter a problem at this hotel, do not expect a meaningful resolution. They seem more interested in taking your money than addressing guests’ concerns. This was likely one of the worst InterContinental experiences I’ve had.
Kenji and Rafael were so warm and welcoming to our family and the overall service was impeccable.
Comfortable rooms. Easy access by car via the highway. Polite and friendly staff. Great choices of food places nearby. Easy access to public transport.
The last time I stayed here was 7 years ago. The place has aged a little since then.
This luxury hotel had very friendly and helpful staff, a spectacular breakfast buffet, and an excellent laid out bathroom. It’s in a business location so the choices of restaurants and shops are limited, unlike Shibuya and Ginza, that are nearby. The location is excellent if you want to avoid crowds and still be central. The Hie-ji shrine is a short walk and a must-visit.
Like other hotels in Japan, there’s few or no drawers for laying out clothes if you stay a few days.
The club lounge access was a great benefit with professional and attentive staff and a good breakfast. Our room was very comfortable with true black out shades which was fantastic while recovering from jet lag.
Navigating the multi-level entrances and exits was confusing and unclear. It would be helpful for them to be more clearly marked where you're exiting for those who are not accustomed to the area. Lastly the club lounge breakfast had a number of gluten free options which was great but the main restaurant was woefully lacking in gluten free options.
The breakfast food is great.
