A very nice art deco hotel, great location ,but the walls are very thin. You can hear people talking in the hallway.
Amazing location! Such a cute, walkable neighborhood with plenty of restaurants! Close to everything we want to see. Clean, quiet rooms, excellent staff, wonderful bar! If we go back to DC we will definitely stay at the Lyle!
Great room albeit a bit on the small side for two people. Loved the staff across the board, bar and restaurant included!
Charming boutique hotel near Dupont Circle. The staff was friendly and attentive. The dining room was beautiful. The decor had flair. I wouldn't hesitate to stay there again on my next visit to DC. The hotel far exceeded my expectations.
Very comfortable rooms. Helpful staff.
I've stayed at the Lyle before, and the staff are wonderful, the hotel is beautiful, and it's very conveniently located. The gym is very nice. The room this time had a very odd smell, so we had to keep the windows open, otherwise we had our usual excellent stay.
The location was great for our stay to visit our daughter and take in the city’s sights. The hotel was clean and comfortable, and the staff was friendly and accommodating.
Karen checked me in w professionalism. Door men were always attentive of the foor
Very friendly staff. Excellent breakfast
Loved the room
Nice neighborhood, clean and friendly staff
Great hotel!
Staff were friendly. Rooms nice. Bathrooms small and no place to put clothes in drawers. But I liked the coziness.
I chose to stay at the Lyle for its location. It is a good hotel but nothing truly special. This trip I had a room next to the elevator. This is when I discovered that the hotel does nothing to soundproof the rooms. I would hear every conversation by people waiting for the elevator or stepping out of it as if they were inside my room. I stayed 3 nights. I was awoken every night by people using the elevator.
Everything was great. I would stringly recommend it!
I liked the staff! Hotel is old. We were there for 7 days w limited amount of closet space, no
Great staff. Clean and neat room. Older but really well kept. Will definitely stay again
Everything was great except the lighying in our room and closet. Closet light didn’t stay on long enough. Not enough light in room especially in the area by the door.
It was a nice older building with a very friendly staff.
It was about a 10 minute walk to the metro that meandered through a nice neighborhood and passing through DuPont Park which was beside the Metro station. There were several nice restaurants within a 10 minute walk from the hotel. You could also eat at the hotel restaurant.
One of my favorite boutique style hotels in DC. Simple yet beautiful decor - rooms feel clean and fresh with all the white details. Hotel staff is always friendly, restaurant/bar staff could be more friendly. Love the location - easily walkable to restaurants, shops, and services. My ONLY real gripe is that the AC is never cold enough. I have to request a light blanket so I don’t end up waking up sweating in the middle of the night - this is definitely the one keeps the Lyle from being my top choice the couple times a month I’m in for business.
