Pros:

Location was good. Bed was comfortable

Cons:

When we arrived with laundry to do. The guy on reception was very reluctant to give us change for the washing machines. We had to go out in the rain to find a shop to make change. This was quite annoying

Short walk to Kyoto station. Close to shopping complex. Staff very friendly.

Pros:

The room was really spacious for Japan standards and it was really well equipped. The location was super convenient (walking distance to train station) and there are a couple of konbini nearby.

Cons:

The room had a heating/aircon unit of sorts outside the window and it was quite loud at night, but at least earplugs were provided.
