Me and my husband booked a room for one night to see a show downtown DC. The pricing was ideal as well as the location. The hotel aesthic was exceptional from the exterior, interior, and the lobby . The staff were very professional , and attentive to our needs. We ended up booking another night because the room was beyond what we expected . Morrison Clark HIstoric Inn will definitely be our first pick for future trips.
Let me start with the Amazing Staff that work there , Washington DC, are amazing! I can’t remember there names but I think it was Jessica and a Spanish Dominican young girl at reception were amazingly nice and helpful. They assisted us with our questions, breakfast info, uber, I mean you name it they were there full service for us! Amazing rooms amazing food and a great bar for drinks. Very clean and beautiful rooms ❤️🙂I will definitely be back! Thankyou all again. Mayrene Rivas guest from Florida 😘
Loved my stay at Morrison Clark for 3 nights Jan 31-3. Solo Female traveler. I read mixed reviews before I booked, so uncertain what to expect as the price was very discounted probably due to very cold weather and lack of a draw at convention center. Very Clean, pleasant staff all around, including the friendly student working at the desk Sunday and Monday morning, and all the doormen. Bed and linen excellent. I stayed in main section of hotel on 5th floor. Bathroom large and lovely. Large windows and pleasant view. The room could use one more light/lamp as it is dim at night, however the bathroom lighting is good, so not a problem. Fitness center is small with a capacity of 2, but clean. It has a good assortment of dumbbells and 3 or 4 cardio options, and some "medicine balls". The spot where mats are located was empty/missing. I dined in the restaurant Saturday around 7:30pm and there was only one couple dining at the same time. It is a beautiful, intimate "gilded age" room. It would be perfect for a special couple night out or with friends to gather with no rush to turn the table. Service was attentive and the food was very good, and not over priced. I had the Snapper which was cooked perfectly and delicious. A generous portion. The sauce could use a little more creativity as it tasted like it came out out of a bottle. I also dined at the first floor bar/seating area and ordered Ahi app from the main menu. It was so delicious, and I would highly recommend!!
It is a safe easy walk to the convention center and about 0.5 miles to sports arena/Metro. I walked to Union Station and museums. The Ford theater is close and I recommend this free historic spot and 15min curator talk. Metro was clean, easy, and safe. I took Amtrak right into Union Station. I hope to return.
This hotel was wonderful. I got stuck in the snowstorm. Therefore, there was not much to do or go to, but the hotel was accommodating and such a great place to be in. The Superior room was quaint and cozy. The food was amazing, and most of all, the people were all kind and accommodating. Definitely will return!
Khalid was extremely friend and helpful. Hotel is beautiful outside and inside, facilities are fantastic. Very well recommended. Definitely will be staying again.
Having travelled to more than eighty countries I’ve come across some great hotels and some awful ones too so I always check out reviews before we book. This hotel looked ok on trip advisor so we booked it but like anything you don’t know what you’re getting until you get there. We appreciate things don’t always go to plan and sometimes you get issues but I’m a firm believer in giving the hotel the chance to put things right, unfortunately this didn’t happen here !!
I was travelling with my wife and two children and we had some noises in the room but at 6am the following morning we were woken by these horrible noises which were ongoing intermittently for the next couple of hours. We went to reception and was told the noise was the electric door to the garage below which we weren’t told about and expressed not being happy about this as it had clearly been mentioned before. I asked for a partial refund but was told because we paid in full with a third party they would not consider this and was eventually offered two complimentary breakfasts. I asked if we could all have it to be told no, not even at a discounted price. The staff on arrival were friendly but the two on this morning were completely different so I asked to see the manager. She did come down to see me but was firm that the offer of breakfast was for only two of us despite our lack of sleep, a free coffee and bagel for all of us would have satisfied me but this only made things worse and was convinced she wanted my son to pay to make up for what she was offering us. There were a couple of other issues including us having to carry all of our suitcases up stairs to the hotel, however we did find out at checkout that there was a service elevator round the corner !!
Overall customer satisfaction is everything and this hotel was not interested in resolving our issue which would have probably cost them $20 max to give us a bagel and coffee. I would rather stay in a hotel where I knew that if i had an issue it would be resolved, this was not the case and I told the manager I wasn’t happy and that I would be writing a review but she shrugged her shoulders and said ok. I was amazed at her attitude and had spent hundreds of pounds to stay here for the night so I will not be staying here again. If you are booked here be aware that there are stairs at the front and you must ask to use the service elevator and make sure you stay clear of room 228
Only wish I had more than one night at this pretty perfect hotel. Decided kinda last minute to come for the rally on 11/22 and was afraid prices would be crazy but got an amazing deal. Very easy to reach by metro from DCA, great area with many options nearby, nice receptionist was able to check me in early, tea and coffee available plus free water and a couple chocolates in the room. Good size for this queen room with nice bedding and fluffy towels in the big bathroom. If you forced me to nitpick I’d say the toilet paper could be more cushy 😛 and I wish sheets could be more separate from those heavy duvets ( a general complaint of mine). Don’t forget the voucher for a beverage at the bar and hopefully Jesus will be working.
Les personnes de l accueil vraiment prévenantes et gentilles Elles essayaient de satisfaire au maximum les attentes du client
Ambiance tres classe chambre confortables et propre
Et chaque jours elles étaient tres bien nettoyées
The reception staff were incredibly attentive and kind. They tried their best to meet the customer's expectations. The atmosphere was very classy, the rooms were comfortable and clean, and they were cleaned very well every day
I had a horrible experience at Morrison Clake Inn and it was handled poorly by the hotel manager. I was placed in a room directly next door to a construction site. Come 8 AM I hear banging and see several men working outside my window. I call the front desk, and they say they will take care of it, but the men never leave. As a matter of fact, they begin to lay a cement-like flooring that lets off chemical-smelling fumes into my room. It was nauseating. Clearly, I deserve a full refund or credit for this room, right? Nope! The manager refuses my request (and offers a 50% refund). Poor quality. Poor service. I will NEVER stay here again.
I've stayed here twice. It's a beautiful boutique hotel with a great quiet location
Clean room, staff was friendly, check in was easy.
Friendly staff, quiet and clean room.
Everything was nice a 10 out of 10 would definitely stay there again.
Stayed here for a small weekend trip. In a great location. Will be back.
The staff is friendly and helpful.
Small room for two, but the staff was attentive and generally helpful
I would stay again
Love this place.
Very nice property in great condition; very comfortable.
This room faced L St and it was not quiet. Though larger than other rooms, the bright street light was hard to bear while sleeping. Rooms in the back and top floors are quieter and darker.
