This hotel needs some work to bring up to standards that I expect from a Courtyard Marriott.
Pros:

Staff were very nice and worked to make things right.

Cons:

The first room I stayed in smelled like an animal had stayed there. Smelled so bad it bothered our sleep. Felt some type of sand or grit on the bed that had to be brushed off. Bathroom was very small. Greasy stains on headboard. There should have been a breakfast included with the stay.

Overall a good stay and good value.
Pros:

Room was clean. Room was quiet. I liked having a sofa for sitting and a table to use for any purpose. Ample places to charge cell phones and tablets.

Cons:

No microwave in the rooms. Sofa bed had tares in the cushion.

Excellent, convenient and pleasant hotel. Great for work.
Pros:

This is a great hotel 5' from Reagan National, with a very convenient shuttle to the airport. The staff was uniformly friendly and excellent (front desk and restaurant). The room was large, well appointed and very quiet.

Cons:

Nothing really, ie, all was great. The view from the window was non descript but I was there for work, so view not that important. As noted the hotel is very convenient to the airport.

Okay for very basic needs, re: clean and price. Extras (parking and pet) added up quickly.
Pros:

I was very glad and grateful that my pet was allowed in the premises. Unfortunately her stay was more expensive than ours

Courtyard Arlington: Bad reception team including the manager
Pros:

Rooms were clean, not too far from the places we wanted to visit without taking our car. Room service was good. They made the experience pleasant.

Cons:

I have been a frequent user of Courtyard Marriott hotels for most of my vacation trips because of their cleanliness and service. Courtyard Arlington provided us the worst check-in experience.
I had checked multiple times before booking Courtyard Marriott Arlington for free parking. However, when we tried to check-in, the reception desk said we have to pay $49.99 for parking and that we might have not read correctly between available parking and free parking. Later when I was trying to park outside, I got to know from the same staff that he got us free parking. Since it sounded suspicious, I checked with manager who mentioned that we had free parking for the entire stay.
I was extremely disappointed with how they tried to charge extra money on top of what we already paid.
