Great staff cannot save a crumbling hotel
Pros:

The staff was the highlight of the stay. They were polite, welcoming, and tried their best to help. When I mentioned issues with the room, they called to check in and even sent a technician immediately (though the equipment was too old to be fixed). We also appreciated the gesture of a note and chocolates. The breakfast spread was generous, and the room itself had good space and nice storage.

Cons:

The hotel is tired and feels like it's falling apart. We were "upgraded" to the Paulista Suite (Room 401), but being on the 4th floor of a 20-story building meant we were right above the restaurant vents. The hallways and even the clean towels smelled strongly of food and grease.Sometimes to cigarettes with everything closed.

Sleep was impossible: the AC measured a deafening 50dB from the bed, and the curtains were translucent, letting full sunlight in at 6 AM.

Housekeeping was also lacking; we were two guests but only received one robe and one pair of slippers, and I found trash on the floor a day after room was made.

This property needs a serious renovation to be considered 5 stars.

Intimate and Welcoming
Pros:

The Hotel offers an intimate experience, with a personal touch of hospitality that you won’t find at most hotels. The location is centrally located with many restaurants and shops at your disposal. The bar in the lobby is the highlight of my stay, as Marcelo the bartender makes exquisite Caiparinhas, as well many drinks that have his signature touch of excellence.

Bei gutem Wetter wäre es perfekt gewesen.
Pros:

Wir waren in der Lounge zum Frühstück mit sensationeller Frucht Auswahl und Abends zum Snack mit reichhaltig gratis Getränke. Das Zimmer hatte einen kleinen Balkon im 18. Stock zum Rauchen und für den schnellen 'Klimawandel'. Wirklich super freundliches Personal. Alles perfekt. Die Hauptstraße eine Querstraße weiter glänzte durch ein starkes Polizei Aufgebot. Wir fühlten uns komplett sicher. Claudio Silva hat uns immer sehr geholfen. Danke.

Cons:

Beim Händewaschen kam kaum Wasser. was die Dusche durch einen starken 'Wasserfall' locker ausglich.
