One of the best places we have ever stayed in.
Excellent breakfast
The terrace is a beautiful place to enjoy lunch or a drink.
It’s a while since we last stayed and had forgotten what an elegant classy place it is , will not leave it so long to return
It
Room very hot but that couldn’t be helped in the exceptional weather conditions, fan was much appreciated
Beautiful location on River Thames. Very quiet & peaceful.
It was VERY hot while we stayed there and the small fan wasn’t quite enough to keep us cool.
Location staff service
Nothing
Great service. Nice variety of food . We had different meals and all were excellent. The staff were helpful and friendly
We had dinner at the orangery the second night it took 45 minutes for our order to be taken. The next night service was very good. Both nights the food was great and the staff were friendly and helpful. No air conditioning anywhere. It is a must. Safe in the room would be nice for international travellers.
Everything is great from location to the quality and cleanliness throughout
Nothing not to like
Location
Breakfast was an absolute disgrace, Bank Holiday Monday on a lovely day, should have been a pleasure for your hotel guests and regular members. But it was a disaster. Horrible experience. Arrived before 9am, noone to welcome you, eventually someone came over, a sullen young girl who is not fit for this type of work. She was unpleasant, unhelpful and sweating profusely. Not organised, not communicative, simply a joke. The tall lad was pleasant and helpful but only so much he could do. They only had 20 covers maximum but somehow couldn't or wouldn't clear tables or reset cutlery or make the customers welcome. It turned out that breakfast orders were 45 minutes behind, something wrong int the kitchen apparently. SO BE TRANSPARENT COME AND TELL THE CUSTOMERS WHERE ON EARTH WERE LEADERSHIP!? Noone was managing the young workers, they couldn't cope and had no skills or experience. I did report all this to reception to pass on and get help with the guidance that there needed to be an intervention. There was none. Some bodies were thrown at the problem from the bar to help out, they were ok but by then everyone was upset and felt completely let down across the board. This and the dirty building site environment. Disgraceful.
It was gorgeous. Very British. Attention to detail second to none. Loved it.
Location was unbeatable and the breakfast was of the high quality we expected.
No air conditioning in the bedroom but we were able to open the door into to the terrace (which I did during the night to allow in a cooling breeze).
The location is incredibly special right on the edge of the river. Great fitness centre and pool too. Lovely friendly staff.
Nothing
High standard of service and very friendly and helpful staff.
The location and interior is beautiful especially since it has been recently refurbished. The restaurant, bar lounge and outside terrace provides a very ambient atmosphere during the day and evening and the menu offers a good selection of very good quality dishes.
Room was very warm due to high temps but a fan was provided. Could possibly benefit from air conditioning during the summer months. Bathroom was beautiful and very clean.
The staff and facilities at Phyllis Court are superb, dinner and breakfast very enjoyable, and the location ideal for a visit to Henley.
Location - fantastic view of river, lovely grounds and near the centre
Room was smaller than I realised
