Room and inn look fine…but old. It’s a maze to find anything. Has a B and B feel.
A hotel is a place to sleep. The bed was older and spring style. No way to control stifling heat, so a miserable sleep. Mentioned to staff no reply. A lot of exterior noise in early am. No breakfast.
The location of the Inn. Loved the rustic lounge.
The room we had needed a newer faucet, it leaked a little. The bed was not comfortable for me, but I usually like a softer bed, so I understand that's personal preference. The room has some chipped paint, curtains that didn't close all of the way and the heat was noisy. It didn't look as nice as the photo on the website. Also we had no water available in in our room sometime in the middle of the night. I noticed it in the morning when the toilet didn't flush and the sink didn't work. It was a very cold night, so maybe the pipes froze?
Comfortable room that served the purpose
a bit confusing parking assignment or none
Room was hot, AC unit did not work and parking is horrible as you have to lug luggage from a church to the Inn.
The room was very comfortable and spotless. I loved being able to walk to the cafes, restaurants, and shops, as well as the history.
I didn't like the end-of-the-night noise from the servers talking loudly to each other while they finished their shift. My room was located above the dining room.
The downstairs sitting areas need an update; reproduction colonial furniture, new drapes, and carpet would make A Big difference. It's such a special place.
Additionally, they should at least offer muffins to accompany the coffee in the morning.
It's got some charm, and location, location, location was good.
The restaurant had a very good clam chowder, although the Caesar salad was blah.
We had a room where the heat didn't work (they ended up get a space heater) and it faced the street, so it was noisy in the morning. Entering through the back, the arrow to registration points left but you actually have to go through the door and go right. Plus, it's pretty dirty around that entrance.
The hotel is situated in the centre of Concord, very convenient, the staff is outstanding, extremely friendly and helpful, and the old building is very charming. There are two restaurants which are very good and even have decent prices. Highly recommendable.
