Reception
Close to airport, clean, comfortable bed, welcoming and helpful staff, love lake Hood and the planes.
A little noisy in early morning
Room had everything we needed with plenty of space, gym was well appointed, restaurant was handy and had good choice of meals
Carpets didn’t look very clean in the room, restaurant and gym
Food and meals excellent. Love the staff in the restaurant
Check in desk very poor in communication. Gave me a room that already had a guest staying. Woke them up and very questionable about security at that point. Finally gave me a first floor room. We are elderly and had to come back down to the first floor. Had a poor experience with the desk last year also. Will not stay there next year.
hotel long term guests housed from the recent disaster were intoxicated and loud, crashing out in hallways all night.
it was in close proximity to what I needed to do
The TV volume will not go up could not hear the TV
Just loved the ladies who staffed the restaurant in the morning. They spoke a native Alaskan language, and were very cheerful and easy-going. The front desk staff when I checked in the night before was also kind, and insisted on getting a porter to help me with my luggage.
There are no elevators and I had a large bag. I felt bad the porter had to help me and I asked to have a room on the first floor but there was some hesitation with that, so I did accept the porter's help. He asked if I "needed everything" in my suitcase, essentially hoping I would leave my bag in my car, but I did not want to do that. Poor guy lugged it up the stairs for me but did not seem particularly happy about having to do that. ;)
Good location. Adjoining restaurant. Very close to airport.
Stained carpets. Girl on reception a bit rude but could have been not understanding our accent.

Good location, free shuttle from the airport, front desk was very friendly.
The hotel is a bit dated. TV screen was dark and barely visible. Price was a bit high considering - but it is Alaska and everything is expensive….
The lady working at the bar was awesome, she was all alone and it was busy but that didn’t slow her down. She was great.
The price was a bit higher than I think it should be.
