The Edgewater, a Noble House Hotel

Booked an ~ $900/night overwater balcony room at the hotel for a special anniversary with my wife.

I communicated this in my reservation and at check-in in. I also booked with Amex Platinum which was supposed to result in an upgrade/better room.

The goal was to have dinner out the night before and have breakfast on the balcony from room service.

We were assured we had a nice room but got an asphalt dock view, and a cruise ship obstructing the view and people looking at us and waving while on the balcony. My wife didn’t want to eat out there in her robe so the room provided ruined that plan.

Room service itself was great but they forgot both milk for the tea and the condiments - by the time they returned both were cold.

Mostly a positive experience, with a few negatives.

The positives - the location and the view can't be beat. This is what you are paying for, in my opinion. A close second is the onsite restaurant. The food was delicious (although pricy) and we loved sitting on the deck over looking the water. Our waiter, Josh, was professional and helpful, as were the other restaurant staff. The coffee shop also had great coffee. It was nice having excellent food on site.

We found all the staff to be very pleasant and the hotel was clean.

The negatives - the AC is not the best, so keep that in mind if you are going in the summer and like a very cold room. Also there are some small things that I would not expect at this price point - no complementary water in the room, also our room was not ready at check in time.

Overall, I would recommend and stay here again.

We booked a stay at the Edgewater Hotel and were excited to go. We booked a suite so that our son could have an area to sleep in. When we arrived to the room, there was an odor of cigarettes in the room. It was a hot day, and the air conditioning in the main room was very noisy and did not cool well (and there was no air conditioning in the adjacent bedroom, so we had to leave the adjoining door open to try and get cool. The windows were very thin and did not block out any noise, so we could clearly hear the many freight trains going by in the night. We could not open the windows at night to get fresh air due to the noise, which is obviously not the fault of the hotel, but the flimsy windows were quite unhelpful.
We were told on check-in that "someone would be up to our room as soon as possible" to help us with the sofa bed so that our son could go to sleep, but no one ever arrived.
Our suite was very expensive -- we have stayed in comparably-priced hotels all over the world, and this was definitely the worst.

A great location if you are departing on a cruise from Pier 66. It also has great views and is very nostalgic. The rooms are small but the bathroom was really nice. Our fireplace didn't work, but it was pretty. LOL It's an old hotel and it feels that way, but adds to the cozy experience. In-room dining was delicious but pricey for breakfast. We found out after the fact that you can use their bicycles, get a record-player and vinyls for your room, and even a guitar for those of you who play. We would have used those amenities had we known they were available at check-in.

Always love visiting the Edgewater hotel! The views are breathtaking, the food is delicious, the rooms are comfortable, and the staff is so helpful. When we checked in for this visit, Quynh made sure we had the perfect rooms. She helped create a memorable experience for our family. Love the Edgewater hotel in Seattle!

The location is awful. Yes it’s in the waterfront but there is ZERO public transport access that doesn’t require a hike up steep hills. We came for the World Cup and regret it immensely. The hotel also uses a fireplace as temperature control so be prepared for your entire room to light up like a floodlight every 20 minutes when it kicks on to maintain the room temp. We asked to leave the first night and the hotel refused since I’d booked with reward points. Awful experience. Avoid this place like the plague!!! If you really want to be on the water and smell old stale carpet, you’ll love it. If you want to leave the hotel and enjoy Seattle, stay elsewhere. 0/10 experience.

This a lovely hotel with a fantastic location, but not the best for kids especially for dining. Would love to have had breakast available earlier.

Too expensive for its value. Hotel is fairly old, no eater offered in the room, keep messing up the billing. Only thing good is the location. Will not stay again

Incredible hotel! Water views are spectacular and the staff are all exceptional. We were upgraded for our third wedding anniversary and had the most memorable weekend celebrating. Will 100% return every time we’re in Seattle and can’t recommend this hotel enough

Very disappointed in the stay. Had A/C problems and they "tried" to resolve it with a floor fan. I complained and was moved to another room that had A/C problems as well (luckily it was a cooler day). Taxes are outrageous. Two nights over $1000 and this was with credits the Manager gave after all the problems we had. We also had our room service delivered to another room & had to call to find out what happened to our order. I would not expect this type of service at a Noble House Hotel.

I had an unfortunate view of the HVAC in the suite, but the hotel itself has a cool history and views from elsewhere.

I tried ringing the front desk 3 times from the room phone on the night we arrived but no one would pick up. The service the next morning was much better and they accommodated my request for a late checkout.

The shower wall in the bathroom was quite dirty.

There was no complementary coffee (or water) available in the morning during my stay, which could be expected at many hotels. There were no complimentary water bottles in my room or available at the front desk.

It is an interesting and historical hotel in a great location. The hotel itself is just “okay” for the price that we paid to stay here. There was no over the top service. The rooms were just “okay” and there was always some sort of food from room service or other trash in the halls. Would I go back? Sure, but not at the price we paid.

Front desk was very rude at checkout ask for coffee pods for 3 he told me only 2 per room . Called front desk several times no answer , when approaching the desk he seemed as if he was annoyed . Not good for morning time

The perfect location! Beautiful view of the waterfront, Mt. Rainier and Elliot Bay. The staff was so friendly and helpful, answered all our questions, provided great recommendations. The facility was amazingly clean. Public transportation right out the front door. So much history!

We travelled to Seattle with our grandson and his girlfriend to board a cruise ship to Alaska. Since this was everyone's first time in Seattle I wanted to stay close to the terminal for the ship. This hotel's location is perfect! Close to everything we wanted to see and do in Seattle for 2 days. The staff was great and very helpful. I would highly recommend staying at The Edgewater.

We love the Edgewater. We had a New Yesrs Eve Party there before we were married in 1991. It was fun to go back and stay there before our cruise. Our room with a fireplace and the rustic look of the hotel was so warm and welcoming. The dinner at the hotel restaurant was the best! The staff was very accommodating and helpful to my husband who is in a wheelchair and I appreciated the little break they gave me by helping. The entire experience was nostalgic for us. I hope we can return. Thanks for being you, Edgewater hotel!

My partner and I had such a lovely time at the hotel! We appreciated the kind staff and the ability to ride the complimentary bikes that were provided!

Hidden amenities fee charged at check out. Hotels should let you know about an additional resort fee before making a reservation. Only this one calls it a amenities fee. I don't reserve hotels with resort fee's or parking fee's. That is the only way to fight these outrageous fees upon fees upon more fees.

Hotel is very dated and in need of renovations. The bed was too mushy and felt like a poorly inflated air mattress. The onsite restaurant (67) is way over priced. The staff that I interacted with were very friendly and professional.
