I've stayed here several times and it is my favorite hotel in Seattle. I love being directly over the water and watching all the ferries, cargo ships, cruise ships etc... lots going on in the sound outside your window. Lovely rooms that really are 5-star! Love it
The hotel and room were excellent. The water view was beautiful and the overall vibe of the place was great. My one real complaint was the Wi-Fi in the room, which was so unstable that I couldn't reliably get work done during my stay. With a solid connection, this would have been a perfect trip.
While the rooms are very simple and comfortable, it is clear that you do not go here for the room, but for the location! The sunrises are incredible and sunsets are very relaxing.
The staff are extremely accommodating from the valets, housekeeping, and front desk staff, even the barista’s in their unique coffee shop are extremely pleasant.
I had an ocean side room, which was extremely tranquil and very quiet at night with a small but very usable veranda that I enjoyed each morning with coffee.
It is unique, eclectic, and has lots of Interesting touches. From sound rooms, to interesting designs in the elevators, you will enjoy it!
There also is a well stocked gym, which is always an important amenity for me to stay on track with workouts.
Stayed here for 4 nights. Nice, cozy, old world charm. Room was huge with the equally big bathroom. Classical designed bathtub with matching faucets. I liked every bit of it.
Yes the carpet and the furniture was a little dated but that's what legacy hotels are.
Just a few suggestions:- 1) Pls include a bottle or 2 of water on check-in.
2) Pressure in the shower wasn't adequate. Will be good if this can be rectified.
Seagulls from the window facing water do work as natural alarm provided u r one of those who would like to ditch heating/air conditioning.
Always love staying at this iconic hotel. Only can justify the "splurge" with a meeting, or a good local's discount special
Front staff rude.
Room poorly cleaned. Cobwebs on ceiling and carpet dirty and stained.
Hotel is dated (not in charing way), furniture old, rooms need painting, and bar drinks are expensive and not that good.
Walls are very thin as is the ceiling. You can hear people talking at a normal volume in the hallway, beside and above you.
We will never return
Your hotel’s location is amazing but your facility is dated and spooky and needs numerous updates - especially for the ridiculous prices you charge . The MOST aggravating thing by FAR however is the constant harassment I have endured after my short stay with you !!!!!!! I have been bombarded by unsolicited emails, texts, etc ! In fact, I was recently spooked by a text message claiming that I had just checked out after more than a week past when I actually checked out . I was naturally alarmed that I was going to be erroneously charged for an addition.al week and immediately called your facility . A front desk personnel subsequently assured me that it had been a glitch with your system and that all guests ,who had recently stayed at the facility, had received similar alarming notifications!!! I subsequently implored the staff to have all my contact information removed as I DO NOT want to be constantly harassed by your company ! Guess what ? Contrary to the assurances I received nothing changed ! In fact, I suspect the volume of unsolicited communication actually increased !!!
I finally. decided to take advantage of yet another “harassing” email from you, which had included this review link, in order to express some of my frustrations with your company!
Please REMOVE my information from your marketing department and cease and desist further communication!!!
This is a lovely hotel in a great location. But reception staff not very friendly and told nothing to pay then received an invoice for $70 ! A hotel of this standard I think should provide a bottle of water per person which we got in a Holiday Inn we stayed in prior to the Edgewater You need to up your game
Great ambiance and location with friendly staff and a beautiful view. I love the rock and roll theme. From check in to bar service to the attentive staff, we had a blast!
Location is great by the waterfront area and convenient to the convention center Bell Harbour. The rooms are cozy and clean (nice touch with the fireplace and lovely water view rooms). The shower and clawfoot bathtub are luxurious feeling. The staff are very friendly and most accommodating! The bar/restaurant Six Seven is a lovely spot for a happy hour with gorgeous views and comfortable bar area seating. The lighting in the bathroom is tough for those putting on makeup - but nothing major. Overall, it is a wonderful place to stay, and I look forward to returning next year.
Prime location and an amazing view of the water and mountains. Close to ferries and attractions downtown. Cool rock ‘n roll history and decor mixed with rustic mountain vibe somehow works well together! Great restaurant as well. Note that parking requires paying for valet and overnight fees.
Highly recommend!
The location was good and the water proximity was neat, but ultimately there's not much to do at the hotel. I was also disappointed that basic amenities like wifi and in-room coffee require an extra fee. The service at the front desk was also quite lacking. Certainly not a luxury hotel treatment.
The view is spectacular! Our dinner at the 6-7 restaurant was delicious. The staff from the valet guys to our waitress were wonderful. Everyone is so helpful and friendly, we even got a surprise upgrade to the beetles suite. It’s our anniversary trip so that was so fun!
A true Seattle gem. The The Edgewater Hotel delivers an unforgettable stay—from the iconic “Patches the Bear” welcoming you inside to the absolutely stunning waterfront views right from your room. Cozy, unique, and perfectly located—5 stars all the way.
Beware of the “Guest Amenities Fee” $34 PER DAY. It does not matter if you use it or not. We did not and got charged! If you reserve thru Amex the $100 dine credit is only for in-room dining.
We loved our second stay at the Edgewater. The hotel's unique location on the water provides gorgeous views from the water side rooms. There was a small mixup with our room, and the staff graciously upgraded our room (to the Beatles Suite!) which really was above and beyond. The staff is attentive and professional, the bed was comfortable, and the Nespresso machine was a nice touch. We enjoyed the location (close to Pikes Place, Seattle Center, waterfront attractions), the rock-and-roll history, and the food and drinks in the bar.
Room was nicely designed with a fireplace and clawfoot tub (shower too). Food was delicious - cooked to perfection and the right temp at banquet service. Beautiful view - right on the water - gave the feel I was on a ship.
My stay at the Edgewater Hotel was fantastic. My room was clean, comfortable, and quiet. The waterfront room with a balcony made my stay exceptional. The staff at the Edgewater Hotel are excellent. I opted for in-room-dining and was not disappointed. The food was delicious and the portions were generous.
Hotel staff was amazing. Accommodated to me as I had a baby Rottweiler with me.
Nora was great at the front desk 👌🏼
10/10 will come again
I was searching for a great hotel with good reviews to spend with my family. The Edgewater popped up in the search and I read into a little more. Decided to book it and we're going to stay there again later this year now. It is a wonderful hotel, great staff, great views and tasty food and drinks. I would recommend to everyone to stay at least once if visiting Seattle.
