Comfortable and clean

Cons:

Late night staff were unhelpful and rude. The daytime staff were pleasant, I checked in very late after arriving in New York at midnight. I had only cash as the reservation didn't say to pay only by credit card only which I didn't bring with me on my travels as I am usually outside the USA where cash is preferred. The night staff was rude and said we don't take cash, this was with him staying behind a glass enclosed area. It was snowing hard and I told him I had only cash and the reservation did not say credit card only for payment, he became annoyed. I was able to call my brother in Australia and put the amount on his card. It is in an area where if this hadn't been possible he would have left me there without any other option as there were no cabs or other place to go at this time of night.

Pros:

Hooray for hardwood floors in the rooms! It makes the stay far more comfortable.

Cons:

The shower was a little difficult to work with when it came to hot water, but eventually it worked!!

Pros:

The delay in my booking

Cons:

When I got there on the 6th of March 2026 I was told booking.com had not updated my booking and I was not in their booking register so had to start booking again waiting for a room to be available

Good price and location - it got the job done for our visit to NYC without paying to stay in NYC.
Pros:

1. I liked that we were just across the bridge from the American Dream mall, and we were about five minutes away from the Secaucus Junction station.

2. Free parking and no bugs in room were a PLUS.

Cons:

1. There was a little price difference between what I paid at the front desk versus what I had reserved with Booking.com. The front desk stated I needed to take up the issue with Booking.com.

2. We reserved three rooms. Our room was fine, but one of the other rooms had this "smokey" smell, even though they were all "smokeless" rooms - MINUS.
