That the valet over charged it said 25$ for not moving ur car in and out and 65$ if you used it when we didn't

Loved staying at the Menger, will come back. The beauty of the hotel and wonderful staff had a fabulous get away.

Great downtown location with lots of history.
Pros:

The location is at the center of the city. Walking distance to Alamo, Riverwalk, shops, restaurants and a mall. The staff was fantastic and very attentive to any requests. If you're into history, you'll love strolling through the hotel and exploring their artifacts and architecture.

Cons:

The hotel is historic but dated in some aspects. Shower didn't have a lot of water pressure and maintaining water temperature was challenging. Heads up regarding parking: valet parking is $54/day. You can search for parking on your own; however, you'll need to make sure it's 24 hour parking or you'll be towed.

The bed was horrible, not much bigger than a twin size for 2 adults. The toilet was too low and too tight, made it very difficult to use.

Don't waste your money enjoy the lobby take pictures get a better room at another hotel
Pros:

The location was good the lobby was beautiful and elegant. The room was an absolute dump. it was small but the bad part it had no charm at all looks like they decorated the room with no thought of the old elegance of the hotel.

Cons:

Rooms not up to par the staff was ether short staffed or management is not making enough rounds to make sure the hallways and shared space is clean. My room had one bottle of soap and one roll of toilet paper.

Location was awesome. The old looks are well maintained. Rooms were clean.

Cons:

Wifi was not working on one morning when I wanted to work. The staff woman was not very helpful, but the man tried to help. Felt that the fifth floor gets a mushroom treatment. No housekeeping came during the 2 night stay. Bathroom water pressure was low.
