Beautiful hotel with amazing and interesting history. I love the Menger Bar!

Cons:

The parking was difficult for us to find. We ended up parking at the mall next door.

Pros:

This was my favorite place ever- it looks wonderful and has so much history. And its right next to the Alamo. Nice pool too. Exceptional

Cons:

More staff present would be good and a handyman/repair person could go round checking things like the sockets and TV. The TV didn't work in our room when we arrived. Then the Fire alarm went off couple hours later. Well its meant to be haunted so maybe that was it... ? But some staff around would be useful.
One other little thing- why dont they open the wonderful main entrances? We had to enter thru the carpark, which was not so impressive.

Just okay
Pros:

Cant beat the location especially for the price

But for what is being sold as a more fancy historical hotel the the rooms smelled weird and the bathroom was filthy with rust snd damage all over. The wall around my rooms window was destroyed

Quick get away vacation.
Pros:

The room was a king and was nice. It was quiet where we stayed even though our room faced the next door mall. Most of the places we were wanting, willing to go were nearby.

Cons:

The Cafeteria was closed which, hampered what was to be a hotel stay do nothing weekend. We had to forage further away from the property. The pool was not as well maintained as it should have been. A touch green. broken tiles.

Pros:

The staff was kind and helpful and it’s right beside the alamo! The location was perfect for our needs and the history was great. My mom is in a wheelchair, and they provided a shower chair despite not being in an ADA accessible room.
