It’s a gorgeous spot and conveniently located
Not very great customer service
Front desk, Teagan was amazing! Super friendly and helpful! Great hotel
The hotel is amazing, an historical place that must be seen. Rooms are big and comfortables. I do not rate with 5 stars because some things are unacceptable:
- Check in. 25 minutes waiting in the queue. 5 desks for check in but only 2 people working, and 10 people waiting to be attended. The lady at the check in was not very kind also, seems to be overloaded.
- The fitness center. It is impossible that a hotel of this category can call fitness center to that small rooms with so few equipment. Please do not say that you have fitness center, improve it or remove. It would be better to give a coupon for a near gym that call this fitness center.
- Price for parking is very expensive, 60 usd per day seems an abuse.
This is my second time here, but I guess that having seen the place, next time I would search for something better in the area
Central location and historic feel
It is by definition a little dated but the rooms could do with a little spruce up and the Air conditioning wasn’t working efficiently
Excellent service, the hotel was amazing and lots of history also excellent location
I which the pool was open later but that's it every thing else was exceptional
Didn't eat breakfast.
Nothing really bother me
Bed was comfortable, room was vintage, hotel is beautiful inside, location was perfect!
No A/C in main areas / hallways, elevator broken, couldn't bring luggage cart to room, broke out into sweat due to far walk from where cart was blocked, step up into bathroom, $59.00 to park!
La ubicacion, la antigüedad, parece un museo esta muy padre
El aire acondicionado no servía estaba muy caliente, y dijeron que asi se pone por que es viejo y estaba lleno el hotel, esa respuesta esta muy mal.
It was clean, comfortable, and everything was walking distance.
Loved the history and location of this place. Bed was comfortable and clean. Room temp was good. The gentleman at valet that brought us our car after we checked out was very courteous. He carried our heavy luggage and was very friendly. He was the best person I met there. Unfortunately didn’t get his name. Hope he gets promoted though.
Room was VERY dusty. Mini fridge was dirty. Mold was on the wall and ceiling in the bathroom. No vent in the restroom, but we cracked the window during our showers. Water temp was unstable. Shower kept turning really hot and really cold. Room did not have a microwave. Had trouble with the phone. The number for room service didn’t work, so we called the front desk and they transferred us, it immediately hung up. There was a dusty coffee maker that had no where to be plugged in. The main light to the room had burnt out light bulbs. Halls were very hot. At check in, the older gentleman at the front desk was not very helpful. The elevator we took to floor 3 was the wrong one. We walked in the direction of our room and were met with a staircase and we had a cart. There was no way around it. We eventually found another elevator downstairs that took us to a part of floor 3 that did not have any stairs, thankfully.
Perfect location, helpful staff, historical hotel and bar.
L emplacement
Accueil froid et peu aimable - salle de bain abîmée nous avons du chambre de chambre - hôtel vieillissant - service voiturier très cher
I think the hotel was a cool historic atmosphere. Lots of memorabilia. The staff is very friendly in all areas. Hotel is knowingly dated but is clean and had no issues. I felt safe and wasn’t concerned with anything. Alamo, Ripleys, food and shopping is literally right out front, next door and around the corner. Extremely close for walking and no need to take your car out of valet which was a plus.
Beds are a little hard and I had to look around for the towels (in cabinets under sink). Also not many plug outlets near beds for charging phones and my husbands CPap machine. Walls are a little thin. But still would stay here again. Nothing that would make me upset about the stay.
Historic
We didn’t have a microwave and we repeatedly saw unregistered guests upstairs
