I stayed here with my little dog whilst on a course in Victoria. I picked this hotel because it was Pet Friendly with a pool and hot tub. I was placed in a Pet Friendly room which was AWFUL! Certainly not friendly for my dog, nor myself! The balcony was disgusting, dirty, don't know the last time it was cleaned, the fridge did not work and the infamous toilet that did everything except talk, stunk to no end when the fan automatically came on..a drying feature apparently..Seriously I can think of better features to have at a hotel rather than 'toilets with amenities'. The pool and hot tub were both cold and un-usable, so that was a huge disappointment. The fridge was replaced but that one didn't work either, and neither did the one after that, so it was determined by Hotel staff, that it was possibly a wall plug issue. There wasn't an electrician on hand either to professionally address the issue, thus, no availability of a room fridge during the entire stay. I have food allergies so this was a big issue for me and for my dog's food as well. For a 4 star hotel with a hefty price tag attached, it was massively disappointing, and I would have expected to at least be placed in a different room, however that was not made available to me either. I might add, that you have to pay for parking AND breakfast here, so add that to your already high price point. Also there are two elevators, which are very inconvenient with baggage and your dog's baggage as well. One from the underground parking area to the front lobby and then one from the front lobby to your room. In-between the areas from the parking garage are heavy doors as well, so that was tiresome. I opted to eat elsewhere, so I cannot comment on the Hotel Food. My Dog and I have given a one star review, one star goes to the Hotel Staff that did their very best to help. If I could stand on the front lines and protest with them, I would..Stay somewhere else in Victoria, there are lots of Pet-Friendly Hotels/Motels and Air B&B in the area.
Breakfast was relaxing sitting by the window and enjoying the water traffic. Close to park to walk to and Fisherman’s Wharf. Nice to have shuttle if you don’t want to walk to downtown
More variety of food selections in smaller portions.
Despite the pool being under renovation, my experience was still top notch. Appreciated their green initiatives and a door hanger that indicated when room service wasn't needed in order to cut down on environmental impacts. I enjoyed the Sauna one evening and had the best sleep that night! Very much appreciated the housekeeper who left me some extra tea when requested as well! The location is a short walk to downtown Victoria or the Ogden Point breakwater and an even shorter walk to Fisherman's Wharf.
hotel location, space of the room, proximity to everything was so close by. Loved the pool, gym and hot tub. Perfect after a long walk through town. Staff were so accommodating.
Coffee supplies. Creamer curdled instantly when poured into the cup.
family loved the pool.
alarm went off at 6 in the morning first day, not ideal.
Location
The air conditioning unit blows directly in the face of someone sleeping and can’t be adjusted, furthermore the thermostat controls it so it turns on and off all night. I had zero sleep hours.
The property was clean, beautiful, easy to reach, and perfectly located for exploring Victoria. There were plenty of amenities (gym, sauna, pool, restaurant, slippers in room, coffee, tea, etc.)
This is a very family friendly hotel, so there are lots of kids enjoying the space! For adult only trips, it may be challenging to use the pool area.
Great views of the water. Loved watching the water taxis and seaplanes from our room. Quiet location yet walkable to all the attractions. Very dog friendly.
Only one elevator was working.
The staff was very accomodating.
THere could have been lunch at the restaurant - it's only open for breakfast and dinner.
the location
parking fee and screaming children
What I liked was the staff. They helped with every question and problem I had.

We showed up and there was a strike happening . The reason we went was because of the restaurant which was now closed and room service was not available. Elevators were not working as well
