Everything, great location, lovely staff, big clean room and great food

The service was brilliant I didn’t arrive until 9pm phone in advance and they were able to provide me with something to eat from the restaurant and it was really appreciated the staff were very helpful and I would certainly stay there again

Room 228
All fine except for the shower unit. It did not function properly as I think it is clogged up with limescale. The rest of these units are probably the same. I suggest that these shower units are now past their useful life and should be discarded. They will continue to get worse and annoy the guests.

This is a popular hotel and used by the local population for food and drink as well.
Excellent staff and rooms are very nice. Anything that you require if not in the room such as an iron is soon provided.
A car park at the rear is sign posted from the main road. There are a few steps but ask the staff and they will assist with wheelchairs via a function room. Otherwise step free access is from the front.

Only gripe is that we specifically picked this hotel because it had a pool. No notification was given that it was closed for planned maintenwere until we arrived. Being outside of the free cancellation window and could change our booking.

Location for our visit was ideal. Bar staff and waiting staff very friendly. Good food in the restaurant and breakfast was very nice.

Das Personal war äußerst aufmerksam, dabei aber nicht lästig oder aufdringlich. Es gibt so viel Personal, sodass es keinen gehetzten Eindruck macht. Sehr angenehm❗️

Das Hotel verströmt eine alte, aber gepflegte Atmosphäre. All der alte Kram funktioniert prima und ist gut in Schuss gehalten.

Great location, friendly staff, lovely rooms (we stayed on two separate occasions), and a wonderful breakfast.

We had another wonderful stay at the Castle Hotel, and it was every bit as enjoyable as our first visit — if anything, the standard has improved!

It’s a really charming, high-quality town hotel, with plenty of parking to the rear and a great location whether you’re visiting for business or pleasure. Our bedroom was lovely and spacious, with a really comfortable bed, and the bar food was absolutely first class.

And the breakfast… honestly, it was to die for! Fantastic quality and beautifully served.

The staff were wonderful too — so friendly, welcoming and attentive from the moment we arrived. It’s lovely to see a hotel maintaining such a high standard while still retaining its charm and character.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and will most definitely be back. Highly recommended!

Our third stay, and as nice as first two. It is a very friendly hotel, and some members of staff remembered us. The room I think may have been refurbished recently, and was very smart. The restaurant has a good range of meals, and breakfast was extremely good. Parking is tight, but we always found a space

Went for 50 years anniversary had a wonderful time could not fined a better place so well look after made us feel special it was so clean and wonderful service would love to so I could come again
