Excellent stay. We would stay there again.
Pros:

Very well maintained for an older facility. Looks like new in many respects.

Cons:

The room was noisy in that you can hear voices next door and footsteps above the room (we were on the second floor). This is due to the age of the infrastructure and orginal construction, difficult to remedy without taking it down to studs. The only other complain was the shower control. Loose and difficult to control water temperature. Needs replacing.

We fell in love with Eugene and Oregon and this hotel cannot be beat.

Pros:

We liked everything about the Valley River Inn. It's location is excellent next door to neighborhoods with great cafes and proximity to the airport. Everything is modern in the facility and in the spacious room that had lots of little nice touches and free amenities. We will definitely stay here again the next time we are in town

Pros:

The location was great being really close to restaurants, the mall, University of Oregon. The on-site restaurant has amazing food and the staff is super friendly.

I'll be back!
Pros:

Spacious room, comfortable bed (I didn't want to leave!), the grounds were also nice. I didn't get a chance to try the breakfast.

Cons:

I wasn't able to take the shuttle to the airport, because I needed to get there a half hour earlier than the shuttle operates. Yes, I know I should have booked sooner!

Nice place, but staff need to be cognizant of seniors when selecting rooms.
Pros:

Beautiful property located near a river. Rooms were clean and comfortable

Cons:

We are seniors, they sent us across the property to a corner for the elevator but you had to take steps up to get to it. Also no luggage carts. Went back and found a cart and determined we could avoid stairs by using walkway cross over that was never mentioned to us by staff.
