Late review of last minute stay due to travel for death of my brother. Reserved night before, first stop of out of state trip. We used to stay at Country Inns 8-10 nights a year but stopped due to declining quality. This is first time using Country Inns in several years. Location: Easy to reach, right off the highway. Check in quick. Room: Clean, queen beds were comfortable with four smallish pillows each. TV was good size with good selection of channels. Microwave worked, frig was cold, shower hot with good water pressure. Our room overlooked the pool area, which looked nice (we did not use). Had concern about noise from pool, but pool hours ended at 10:00 and was promptly closed. I went to sleep right away after long drive. About 11:00 teens running up and down hallway, yelling, making noise for about an hour. About 1:00 a couple screaming at each other for 45 minutes. I slept through it. Wife did not want to open the door or call desk, didn't want to wake me. Learned next morning location is right across street from water park. Also volleyball team(s) staying for tournament. Early morning check out was quick. Grabbed a (good) Danish an coffee to go. Note: no left turn when departing. Must turn right and go down a block, do U-turn to get to highway access. Phillips gas station to the left, restaurant next door to the hotel. Busy/traffic shopping area with anything you want other side of highway. At $213 for the night, this was the most expensive stay of the trip. Maybe we stayed wrong nigh/wrong floor. Would I stay again? Maybe during week, definitely not on weekend. We did receive an apology email from management after we responded to their follow up email, which was nice.
The noise from the pool area was loud. And someone had a speaker in the pool area playing loud music. And there was kids playing in the hot tub. And their parents did not say anything to leave to exta hot tub so adults would have room to get in and seat.
Location
Very thin walls. Room was stark and uninviting. Staff not friendly
Location is good and facility is nice
Pool side room without knowing, starting at 8am its like an echo chamber, no way to sleep in. Same thing at night until 10pm. Also needs to be staff in pool area or stricter rules, like no young children in hot tub. I would recommend specific adult only hours, like 8a-10a or 9p-10p. Otherwise not enjoyable at all for those without small children.
Close to LECOM
ASK TO NOT BE ON THE FIRST FLOOR NEAR THE BREAKFAST ROOM!! Unless you want to be up by about 5am while staff sets up. You get to hear wooden chairs being dragged across the tile floor and kids running and screaming down the hallway when breakfast begins. It was an awful experience- one I will never do again.
The staff was very nice and helpful. The rooms were clean
Needed some maintenance, but nothing to serious
It was nice and clean
Access to the third floor was either through the back entrance or by taking the elevator.
Beautiful facility. Friendly staff and nice room for the price.
Cleanliness could have been a little better and location is a little difficult to exit.
Great place to stay.
