Crumpled up lampshade on lamp, dirty towel hung up as if it was clean, no complementary breakfast when it states it on the website, leftover cigar trash from previous guest, room wreaked of cigar smoke.

Please stop supporting this business the hotel needs to be shut down the doors are not secured your can see pipes in the walls also electric wire out smoke detector hanging off the wall human dry feces was on toilet place reap of cigarette smoke and weed carpet was dirty carpet dirty we didn't stay and was told we could not get a refund they don't deserve a star

It was disgusting… Below living conditions. The room was dirty, had stains everywhere, mold, mice, broken fridge, missing iron, bad water pressure, and no internet.

Unfortunately not as advertised. The hotel is overtaken by illicit activity. I did not feel safe. There was blood and who knows what else on the bed (I just looked in the room and left). The night staff member I have to thank because he knew that it was not suitable. He tried to warn me by asking me to see the room first before he checked me in. It was really late and I was exhausted but he made himself clear. He accepted the cancellation with no problem. Thank you to this staff member for looking out for me. I hope you can move to a better environment.

Controls were not great

I had to come to town for a medical procedure so looked for something close to where my doctor’s office would be. I don’t know how the ratings for the place were so good. It was terrible, not cleaned and shady people. I booked a king non-smoking room and literally opened the door to a fresh smoked cigarette. Went and asked for another room, gave me a double bed instead. Can smell the smoke in there too but not within the last hour at least. But, room was dirty, the door did not seem secure, there was writing in magic marker on the bathroom mirror, mirror was broke and covered with tape, pubic hair on the toilet seat and the wall was holding up the small tv. Also burn marks on the stand the tv was resting on. The bed sheets were dirty and well. I told them I could not stay and checked out within 15 minutes of getting there. Worst Howard Johnson I’ve ever been to. I’d give negative stars if I could. 100% do NOT recommend

Small pillow, Smoking rooms and No elevator at the hotel. use stair up and down... I cant stand smell smoking and hallway

This reservation wasn’t canceled months ago. When I received a text message from them I called them to explain that the reservation was canceled they still found it in the system I said please cancel it I will not be able to make the trip the response was I can’t do that you must call expedia the phone number went to a sales pitch could not get a hold of them will not use you until you start provide phone numbers

This place is a dump! It smelled like smoke from the moment I walked in. The pictures are false advertising. It looks nothing like the pictures on the site. No elevator to the 2nd floor?!! I would've had to carry my 50lb. Bag to the 2nd floor. I left without even seeing the room, it was so gross and scary

Nice place gently people I will come back agin it was a good room for me the best thing is the pool they have outside and I would recommend to my friend to come here and feel comfortable good views

1st room smelled of 10 the worst old ashtray

2nd room door safety lock broken missing, Lamps not working or equipped with cfl bulbs one not two.
Toilet seat hinges broken, shower head calcified super low stream. The bed oh my word no blankets on or in room
Breakfast Quaker granola bar & lukewarm bad coffee at 700 pitiful

Rundown and seedy

I checked in real late, the front desk was very polite. Checked me right in. The lobby looks fine. i walked upstairs to my room on the 2nd floor and was a lil freaked out. Its 3am, and there were some doors slighty open and the floors and walls are not very clean. Im tired so i just want to get into my room. The door was too small for the frame. There was about an inch of space all around the door... when i entered the room it smelt like someone was blowing cigarette smoke right into my face.. it was grose. I didnt want to go back to the lobby, im going to wait it out until morning. The bedding did not have bed bugs, i always check...however there were many cigarette burns and stains on the sheet and blanket... i.put towels on the bed,slept in my clothes and wore my sweater over my face as a filter. When the sun came up i changed rooms. Now im on the 1st floor not far from the lobby so i felt a lil more.comfort. I couldn't get the door open, so i went back to the front desk, and a maintenance man opened my door for me. He used his key flipped the door handle up and did 2 body slams into the door to get it open.... i said your joking right, this is how i have to open the door??? The room was cleaner and it didnt smell. He said most the doors are like that, and that i was in one of the better rooms :/ my coworker showed up and we stayed 5 nights. On Saturday Ppl hung outside my window, and i had strange nocks on my door, would not stay here by myself.

Very dirty disgusting didn’t stay left to another hotel

already checked what the positives. the actual room left mush to be desired. very poor condiitions as far as furniture that was falling apart, the carpet was filthy, the night stand was uncleaned. the king bed, had only 2 small pillows. limited bath towels present too. fluorescent light above microwave didn't work. there were no hangers for the closet. even with calm weather the wi-fi, was spotty and buffering constantly. that meant endless wait times on laptop, and terrible tv reception. no in-room phone to call desk for service. although the staff was helpful and friendly, i would never recommend this hotel to anyone, and i would certainly never book there again.

Will not stay there

It has been my worst visit at Howard Johnson's hotel, in my entire life, AND they were the most expensive ones with having no breakfast!

Here at the Howard Johnson Inn center, a place we wouldn’t recommend to visit whatsoever, our stay did not last up to 20 minutes, and there were and are a variety of reasons to say this. Beginning with our entrance into the hotel, as we entered a dim and evidently-inapropriatedly cared building. Additionally, the images advertised did not capture at all the place’s atmosphere nor true appearance.
However, the staff attendant was polite and humble, which makes it a bit of a more decent and place.
People like him deserve to be at better-cared places
Overall, we did not enjoy this visit at all.
The hotel must be improved.
