Rooms and facilities were excellent, only complaint was breakfast.

Cozy and comfy hotel stay. This was my fourth visit and I love to stay in Element Richard given its location, reasonable room prices and overall experience , they are my key reasons to visit again
And again. I stayed on the top floor this time and had a lovely time. The hotel staff were professional and helpful with my requests and queries. The hotel offered car park facility and I love their security gate with a digital card operation. I also liked their welcome gift and their lucky draw. I got 500 bonus points from the lucky draw ;) awesome !
Convenient to where i needed to be and very clean and good property
Great stay, would definitely choose again
This was a great spot! The design. Bit of colour. (Why every hotel on earth thinks cream and beige are the only choices I don’t know)
Lobby up a set of stairs which is a little confused. But the lobby lounge superb. Colour, restful. A lot of work space.
Gym great. Bikes outside.
Rooms well designed. Big windows.
But. But. But. Go change Yoga mats right now. They look like they have been used for a year in a paddock.
Check-in was speedy once I found the entrance. Was late night but it wasn’t very well lit or signed from outside.
Room was in good condition, but couldn’t work out the air conditioning to get it to a pleasant temperature. It just went from very cool to very hot. Pillows are very comfortable, but I found the mattress too firm so struggled to sleep.
Lovely hotel. Great service.
This is typical of world we live in. New year eve is fireworks display and they have a balcony one in use and another in darkness or not utilised, So, what happened when we enquired about the balcony not in use? was the people who paid for it did not want any other people there. That is what has become of everything nothing is free for everyone but not this hotel you have to pay for the free view. What is the world coming to.
The room is very clean. This hotel should be ranked at 5 stars.
The location of the hotel is pretty far from the CBD - Stop 18 on the 70 Tram. It is outside the shopping/restaurant area of Richmond.
Note the 70 Tram is the old style tram so if you have luggage, keep accessibility in mind. The single-carriage trams also do not have air conditioning (sometimes they have single-carriage trams and sometimes double-carriage ones). The upside is it is just a 2 minute walk from the tram stop (but you can hear the trams). On a light-traffic day with good connection, one can get from the MEL airport to the hotel in about an hour by transit (SkyBus + 70).
The hotel is in an industrial park and not too far from the University of Melbourne Burnley Campus. There is really nothing near-by other than the Yarra River and offices.
I have stayed at Elements twice - once in the US and once in Amsterdam. This one surprised me, thus the title. It is more like a regular hotel than a Residence Inn. There was no little kitchen. There was not even a proper desk in the room - just a small round table - they want you downstairs using the shared space and spending money. I also did not see a guest laundry facility.
Other than these surprises, the room was OK. Considering how far out it is from the CBD, the size of the room could have been bigger. There were some design challenges - like the light switches were not at the door (probably due to the sliding door for the bathroom) and some spaces could have been made under the bench to "park" the shoes.
It is also one of these new designs where it is a fogged glass separating part of the shower with the room so non-solo travellers beware. The way the hotel is shaped, you can also see into other rooms from certain rooms (and vice versa). The bed is pretty soft but I guess that is because it is kind of the Westin Heavenly Bed...
The other surprise was the quality of the breakfast. It was very very good. Even though there was not a huge variety (e.g. no smoked salmon, no toppings for the cereals) and most of the food kind of served on a bar, the quality was good.
The restaurant staff seemed detached though - not really paying attention to what is going on in the dining area (tables not cleared timely, etc.) The waiter would sweep the food on the table right onto the floor each time he cleaned the tables and it made no sense to me. Part of this might be a staffing level issue since some of them have to handle the arriving guests, the coffee bar, etc.
I think this falls under the "will stay again if the price is right" category.
Rooms were clean, comfortable and quiet. Great for a quick stay for work!
The actual room was pretty good. I like having kettle as well as coffee maker so the tea doesn't have that coffee tang. The check in process and check out process was good and staff in that area were good. Where they really let themselves down is the food and the service of the food. The breakfast buffet was OK, but dinner was brutal. Menu never changes for the whole time I was there, to get a waiter to take an order is a work of art. When they eventually (and I mean eventually) take the drink order, it was a 15 - 20 minute wait, and having to re ask where it was before that arrived, the food much longer. The food quality at dinner was poor and per above comment, the service was dreadful. The actual people were polite and nice enough, but clearly no proper training - no one comes back to the table to see how food is. I refused to pay for part of my food as it was not edible. They made some shoestring fries that were so soggy and full of grease - a real shame as the front desk people were nice, the rooms good and the location great too.

The view
Excellent hotel, great peaceful and green location which is accessible by tram 70 to the city, about a 15 min ride.
Rooms were clean and comfortable and breakfast as well as lunch( Monday to Friday) and dinner ( Monday to Saturday but not on public holidays) were awesome!
Special shoutout to front office manager Modesto and team, as during my stay on September 23 2024, I noticed water leaking from toilet and upon ringing reception it was checked right away. Upon checking, I was offered a room change and Modesto came to my new room and offered complimentary breakfast to make up for the inconvenience. Excellent customer service shown and keep up the great work!
Budget property. You will be impressed by service. They care for your comfortable stay and can provide the things in thier capacity. The amenities not in room, they provide immediately. Breakfast is good. The hotel is situated at outskirts of Melbourne.
Friendly staff, clean and well equipped room, hotel had a lovely feel.
This place was a bit of a surprise - easy, not too large/busy, comfortable and great location to get to all parts of Melbourne.
Conven
