Very friendly and helpful staff, very nice garden with lovely pool. The room was spacious and modern.

We had a fantastic stay at Il Frangipane and would happily return. We stayed in the Triple Suite, which was incredibly spacious and perfect for a family. The room was modern, beautifully designed, and featured two very comfortable beds, giving us plenty of space to relax after our days exploring Sri Lanka.

One of the highlights was the private pool, which is exclusively accessible to the four new rooms. It felt peaceful, secluded, and added a touch of luxury to our stay.

What truly made this place special, however, were the people. Raveen, the owner, was genuinely warm and attentive, always checking that everything was perfect and making us feel incredibly welcome. Narlaka and the rest of the team were equally wonderful – friendly, helpful, and always smiling. Their hospitality was exceptional and made us feel more like guests in a family home than customers in a hotel.

Breakfast was delicious and thoughtfully adapted for us. The team kindly prepared modified versions of pancakes and hoppers to suit our preferences. The fresh fruit was excellent, and the smoothies were absolutely lovely – fresh, refreshing, and the perfect way to start the day.

I would definitely recommend Il Frangipane to families looking for a comfortable and relaxing stay. This is exactly why we love travelling in Sri Lanka – the genuine warmth and hospitality are second to none. Boutique hotels like this offer such a personal and memorable experience that you simply don’t get in larger resorts.

We loved the staff here they were amazing and nothing was too hard for them. The breakfast was bountiful with fresh fruit, eggs, toast, Sri Lankan dishes and more, the pools were lovely for afternoon swims and the rooms were large. The hotel all is within walking distance to good coffee, good restaurants, etc.

Best accommodation we’ve had here in Sri Lanka!! Not only are the rooms spacious, but the A/C works perfectly, and everything was very clean. We loved the swimming pool, and the breakfast was one of the best we’ve had, always fresh and delicious.
Last but definitely not least, the people working there made our stay perfect. They gave us great advice on what to do each day, and they were incredibly kind and hospitable!!

Great location, surroundings were beautiful and leafy, rooms were enormous. Staff were so helpful and always available to answer questions and help with booking any transport or activities. Breakfast was hearty and delicious

Le personnel est au petit soin, disponible h24. Il y a un petit déjeuner copieux (ils nous l’ont même donné à emporter un matin où nous devions partir tôt)

Super Hotel, super Service und super Lage! Einfach super.

Zu aller erst möchten wir das gesamte Personal loben. Wir wurden immer mit einem Lächeln begrüßt und die Leute sind sehr zuvorkommend und aufmerksam. Besser geht es nicht.
Egal was man benötigt, man bekommt hier immer die passende Unterstützung.
Bei einem nächtlichen Gewitter haben die Jungs meinen Roller in der Garage in Sicherheit gebracht. Danke!

Wir hatten ein EG Zimmer im "alten" Gebäude. Die Größe war super und auch die Klimaanlage und der Ventilator waren top. Das Badezimmer war toll und sauber. Auch die Dusche war sehr groß und funktionierte einwandfrei. Es gab genügend Ablagefläche für uns.

Der Pool vor dem alten Gebäude ist von vielen Bäumen und Pflanzen eingewachsen und bietet tollen Schatten in der Mittagshitze. Der Pool im neuen Teil der Anlage ist schön, dich diesen haben wir nicht genutzt (ist nur für Gäste der Villen). Am Pool werden Auflagen für die Liegen bereitgestellt, sowie extra Pool-Handtücher.
Von Zeit zu Zeit würde uns sogar ein kostenloser Smoothie serviert.

Die Lage ist gut. Es liegt etwas außerhalb und ist somit schön ruhig. In der Straße gibt es zahlreiche Restaurants und Cafés.
Zum Ortskern (wenn man das so nennen kann) ist es zu Fuß gut 20-30 min zu Fuß. Man kann problemlos im Ort einen Roller mieten.

Das Frühstück war ausgezeichnet und reichlich.

Wir haben uns sehr wohl gefühlt und können das Hotel auf jeden Fall empfehlen.

Beautiful property. Felt both homely and also like a bit of a treat. Rooms were massive, pool was lovely, good location with walking distance to good restaurants, cafes etc. breakfast was excellent each morning and the staff were very helpful and organised anything we needed with no fuss. Easy to get a tuk tuk to the main Sigiriya attractions (Lion’s rock nice and close).

J ai adoré notre séjour. L emplacement est le gros point fort, a quelques minutes à pieds de l entrée de lion rock. Ensuite le jardin et la piscine sont magnifiques excellent lieu de détente après des excursions fatiguantes. Beaucoup de bons restaurant à côté vous avez le choix : mention spéciale pour Hot restaurant. Vous pourrez aussi demander a l hotel d organiser un safari, il pratique un prix tout à fait correct.
Après comme souvent le service est excellent et le petit déjeuner ultra généreux
