Hôtel a déconseiller
Pros:

À part son emplacement proche de la gare et du centre-ville ainsi que le calme, cet hôtel n’a aucun atout.

Cons:

L’hôtel est grand, haut de plafond et ses couloirs sont des labyrinthes à la peinture défraîchie. Les chambres sont petites, la peinture sale, les meubles poussiéreux et certaines n’ont pas de fenêtre et sentent le moisi car elles sont fermées. On nous a changé de chambre pour ces raisons mais notre petite fenêtre donnait sur un mur, le rideau était très sale, une légère odeur de moisi était persistante. À notre arrivée, on nous donne deux draps, deux serviettes, deux brosses à dents , deux petites bouteilles et deux biscuits. Il faut alors faire son lit soi même pour finalement constater que les deux draps sont pour des lits une personne alors que le lit est pour deux personnes. Le personnel nous disant que ce sont les seuls draps disponibles. Cet hôtel accueille d’ailleurs très peu de clients ce qui rend l’endroit sinistre. Le hall d’accueil est à l’image de l’hôtel , repoussant.

Pros:

No trash bin, dirty linen, a gecko dropping on the pillow, a smelly room with mold, no window, and WiFi without an internet connection. I am sorry, but there was no enjoyment whatsoever. I am giving a 5 only because they offered a nice welcome bun and the AC was working.

In the morning, I looked into all the rooms along the corridor, as they were open, and the same smell was everywhere. I understand it is a tropical environment, but breathing mold spores is not okay, even if the room itself showed no visible signs of damage and looked clean at first glance and compared to the photos.

Proximity to the train station makes it a good location. But saying the above and paying 250,000 IDR for one night was not a good investment.

Good value at good Location
Pros:

Convenient location near Tawang railway station. Old city center and many restaurants in walking distance. Good air conditioning. Water dispenser on 1st floor. Friendly manager.

Cons:

Used sheets. Bathroom not well maintained. Shower sink clogged with long black hair. No glass in bathroom

Basic hotel in front of Semarang train station
Pros:

Basic hotel directly in front of Semarang Tawang train station. Bed and pillows were comfortable, shower and A/C worked, personnel was friendly. Good if you have a late arrival (desk open 24/7) or an early departure. Fair price for the offer.

Simple and convenient
Pros:

Perfect location, 5 minute walk to the heart of the Old Town and 3 minute walk to the train station. Staff is kind!
