Our room was very comfortable, clean, and the staff here very kind and accommodating. My husband enjoyed the pool and our son loved the cell charger next to the bed 😄 and the breakfast was great. Myself, I enjoyed our time here and I am pleased that The Hampton Inn made it that much, more memorable. We left my shoulder wallet behind somehow and we just recieved it today. What more can we say about how incredibly helpful they were, locating it, calling us, and mailing it home to us! They definitely went out of their way to help. We are most thankful! If we come back this way, we would definitely stay again!
Thank you
Spacious, comfortable room. Nice view from the forth floor. Good breakfast selection.
The location
The not pleasant smell in the room
Food, hot tub, view, shower, bed
Toilet wasnt clean
Room was not clean. Long hairs all over bathroom floor and what looked like a corner of spider droppings under the sink. Towels very hard and scratchy. Bed was not comfortable at all.
The location is perfect. York Road takes you right to the downtown square. Located right next to a Walmart. The beds and pillows are soft and comfy. The breakfast is adequate. The pool and hot tub are a nice feature. The hot tub did experience some yuk but was taken care of quickly. The room water pressure was very nice. We love staying at Hilton because we know what to expect, they seldom disappoint.
HOTEL WAS GOOD LOCATION PLUS FREE PARKING AND POOL BREAKFAST WAS PREPARED BY ANGIE she was very helpful and attentive Our foom was very large and comfortable
Good
Nothing
My family stayed in many hotels in the Gettysburg area, when we looked at the area with the plan to eventually move here, which we did. The hotel stays were all good with the exception of the Hampton Inn Gettysburg. The front desk people were rude and refused to forward calls to our room and to notify us of an important item they had received for us at the front desk, much less deliver it to our room. In the morning, I saw employees mocking guests downstairs for breakfast. I found that so disturbing, I almost confronted them at the time, but I was afraid it would get physical based on their demeanor, which would make a bad situation worse. I was so mad I almost confronted them regardless. I would never stay, or recommend some one stay here. I have been to numerous hotels in the US and around the world, and I can not remember an experience as unpleasant at this was.
We go on many road trips and usually stay within the Hilton family of hotels. I found my notebook from our New England roadtrip in August 2025 and realized I hadn't done any reviews. I will start with the good for this hotel. The room was clean. The beds were comfortable. We didn't have a lot of road noise, which is always a good thing. The tv and climate control worked as expected, as well. Now, while we were there, there was a terrible smell coming from the toilet (insert jokes here) and it was worse whenever we flushed. Had we been staying longer than one night, we would have asked for another room. It was bad enough to keep the door shut to the bathroom all night long and plug our air purifier in there. The bathroom could also use an exhaust fan as the tile in the both the shower area and right outside the bathroom were very slippery after showers. We didn't eat breakfast here so I cannot comment on that. Again, this was last summer so some things may have been fixed or addressed. Overall, we probably wouldn't stay here again if we were in the area.
We think that the swimming pool was not clean enough .
One of the better Hampton inns I have stayed at in my Cross Country trips.
Clean , great breakfast buffet, and really nice rooms.
Note, get a room facing the rear parking lot, as the rooms facing the street are next to a noisy intersection.
Excellent experience. Sara at the desk was great, thorough and helpful. She also checked and asked how things were going, both in person and by text. I will return because of her.
