Everything! Wonderful experience. We had to check in very late check in as our flight was delayed and the check in staff were incredible. In fact, all of the staff members were warm, friendly, helpful and so hospitable. Facilities were amazing, location is perfect. 10/10 recommend

Stayed at Proper to ring in the new year with family. Hotel was excellent. Staff was all very kind and professional. The most wonderful valet staff imaginable in Dwayne and Kendra, who were warm and friendly with our children and made you feel like you were truly home away from home. Highly recommend.

My teen daughter and I had weekend trip to the hotel and had a wonderful stay. The hotel is a great city hotel - beautifully designed with really comfortable, decently sized rooms and in a good location.

Warm reception, strong service through and through - front desk, bars, restaurants (we ate at both), valet. There is quite a scene in lobby bars which I had no problem with - it was a cool scene and I didn't hang out there but so folks know. Mexican and Med restaurants served great food.

The weather was too cold to use the pool and the hotel is missing a hot tub. Fitness facility is solid.

Nice coffee station in morning next to front desk (had a good drink in same room night before which was far more quiet than main lobby bar).

Front of hotel was a serious wind tunnel and I asked if it was normal to be blown away entering and exiting the hotel or just weekend we were there and I was told it was pretty normal! No big deal but just FYI - hold on to your hats!

Kendra was the person who helped us with valet and she was so kind! She even gave us a recommendation for dessert at the restaurant we were going to in the hotel. Thank you,Kendra!

I stayed at the Austin Proper for one night in December 2025, for a work trip. It is a FABULOUS hotel. I loved the room (a very comfortable bed; actually adequate lighting, unlike most hotels these days; and a nice sense of style). The service was top notch (shout-out to Evie in the room with free coffee in the morning!). And the gym was one of the best I've seen in a hotel (not only 4 Pelotons and a lot of treadmills, but a real stair climber; lots of free weights and weigh equipment; and a Tonal). I will definitely stay there again when I'm in Austin.

Giulio is the best ever!! So helpful with reservations, things around Austin and all the recommendations. He makes every visit so enjoyable and easy. The hotel is beautiful and always a vibe.

Giulio is an absolute standout at the Austin Proper. From the moment we arrive, he makes everyone feel welcomed, comfortable, and genuinely taken care of. He has a rare mix of professionalism and warmth that makes the experience feel effortless—and fun.

The entire Proper staff is wonderful, but Giulio has a way of quietly going the extra mile. He’s incredibly kind, attentive without ever being overbearing, and always seems to anticipate what we need before we ask. Whether I am there for a meeting, happy hour, or a night out, he consistently makes sure everything runs smoothly.

Because of him (and the amazing team around him), the Proper has become our go-to spot. It’s the kind of place where you know you’re in good hands, and Giulio is a big reason why. A true professional and a genuine pleasure to be around.

I stayed at the Austin Proper for roughly a week while visiting family. Hotel is kept in pristine condition, well-located and unique. Plenty of great dining options on-property. I also just experienced (Dec 2025) their new Omakase restaurant - Kappo Kappo; a must-try for sure.

Chloe at the front desk was very helpful with all my needs, including the initial reservation. The entire front desk staff is always eager to help. Evie in the coffee lounge in the AM very kind, helpful, and always makes everyone feel welcomed.

I would not hesitate to stay again and highly recommend this property.

I stay here Everytime I visit Austin, easily the best spot in town. Giulio, Chris, and Marshall are the best and take care of us every time, love the lobby bar and goldy’s. Can’t say enough about them and the energy there.

Had a great pilates experience with El Studio and Stakt. Kendra at valet was so kind and went above and beyond, so appreciative.

Kendra saved the day. It’s so relieving to get customer experience like Kendra delivered to me. She’s amazing and a keeper?

I love this hotel! It is stunningly beautiful. The staff is friendly & efficient. The room itself is handsomely decorated and comfortable. Great water pressure in the shower. But it is the public space that shines. Visually appealing & the type of space you want to relax in while enjoying a tequila or meal in the beautiful dining room. Special shoutout to Peacock breakfast. Best Greek omelette I've ever tasted.
Only criticism I have was the lighting at dinner was so dim we could barely see our meals. Thank you for the enjoyable stay.

We loved it the service was great and the housekeepers did a lovely job. Jasper at valet was very helpful as well and we loved the interior design.
