Wifi seems reliable and is easily fast enough to handle video conferencing. It is not free (unless you are a BonVoy Member).

Noise: 4/5
Mild traffic noise, very minimal. Not distracting. Next door and hallway noise minimal. You will hear some dogs barking and pigeons cooing from you window.

Food Nearby: 4/5
There is no full service restaurant or room service. However, you are adjacent to Cheddars, Applebee’s and The Outback. Light fair can be had at the Bistro.

Staff were present and friendly. Process was quick. No waters given at reception or in the room. Room temp was pleasant at check in.

Parking: 4/5 Parking is onsite and free. No security. Use normal precautions.

Room Condition: 3/5
Room was and bathroom was clean. Bed was not as comfortable as most are at Courtyard. No microwave in room.

Shower: 4/5
Good hot water. Good water pressure. Not overly softened. Lacks a handheld head / wand.

Value: 4/5

Pros:
• Fairly comfortable bed in a relatively quiet setting.
• Fast, reliable WiFi. Desk is provided, well-lit and large. Join BonVoy and your Wi-Fi is complimentary.
• Room and bathroom are well kept. Hotel and grounds as well.
• Iron and ironing board provided.
• Indoor Pool and Fitness Room for exercise.

Cons:
• There is no microwave.
• No full service restaurant. Bar is limited. No room service.
• There is no safe.

Business Traveler Verdict:
Good hotel for the business traveler. Best for short stays and for those that don't meal prep. There is no microwave so taking home leftovers from the nearby restaurants is limited to just those items you are willing to eat cold.
I always recommend you request the top floor to avoid ceiling noise from your upstairs neighbor. It has only 3 floors so you will still get some surrounding neighborhood noise and traffic noise. The hotel is on the Loop, behind some restaurants. Houses behind you and on the other side of the Loop. If you are willing to walk just a short distance down the loop (same side), there is a Krispy Kreme. Just saying..... They put the fitness center in there for a reason.

Would I stay again?

Kinsey made the check in atmosphere most accommodating. best part was Michelle willingness to help make the stay most enjoyable part of the conclusion of a 9 day vacation. thanks for having a great team for a memorable stay in Lubbock, TX

Hot l does not give a free water to Marriott Bonvoy gold level members. Despite lowering the AC to 66 degrees in the room the temperature never rally got comfortable. Hotel is clean but bathrooms in need of an update. Staff lacks friendliness and hospitality training

The hotel is in an ok area, just an older property sort of run down. Probably would not stay again.

This is a business travel comment being made by a regional manager of a well respected global company who travels extensively for business across the USA. My reservation is related to this property being a "conference hotel" booked by the Texas Association of Wine Grape Growers. Courtyard Marriott, 4011 SOUTH LOOP 289 Lubbock, Texas 79423. I would not stay here for business, and I certainly do not recommend staying here as a woman business traveler.

Hotel is positioned alongside a Hampton and another Mariott and another no-brand name hotel behind a row of Outback Steakhouse, Chilis, Applebees at the back of a parking lot. I requested a room which was quiet for business travel. The staff member was very nice and moved my initial reservation away from the position in the hotel I was first assigned which was immediately across from ice maker and elevator. However, for nearly 3-4 hours on night one a barrage of industrial garbage trucks, overnight sleeper trucks revving engines plagued my sleep and made this room and stay nearly untenable. Beeping, backup sounds, heavy equipment like noises likely attributed to the sleeper trucks using the parking lot as their overnight truck accommodations was unbearable. When staff was selecting a secondary room option, one would imagine being at the back of a parking lot would not garner this amount of loud obnoxious noise and the staff member should have known that Traffic noise is extreme on this side of property. The overall condition of the hotel is extremely poor. The photos are retouched and not accurate. The (supposed to be lighted) Courtyard Marriott sign outside is damaged, cracked and not functional. The parking lot is beat to hell. There is no pathway to restaurants which is safe or clean. On a Sunday night in what appears to be a truckstop town the Bistro in the restaurant was closed. The hot tub is not working and covered with a tarp. There is not a safe walkable area in the surrounding area therefore all hotel amenities should be up and working for business travel. As a business traveler it is hard to continue paying for hotels overall, this one included, out of a company budget when hotel ownership does not perform basic aesthetic maintenance to justify the cost of nightly business travel stays. Mold in grout and caulking is unacceptable. This is not a cleaning issue, this is mold settled in which caulking needs to be stripped, removed and re caulked. Bath fixtures are old. Cracked tiles which move under foot in the bathroom and vanity area. Poor paint jobs and deteriorating paint on door jams, unacceptable. Less than cold old in room refrigerators, its time to begin upgrading. Finally the mattress how many years has the hotel gotten 365 day a night stays from business travelers out of this one mattress? It's time to begin re-investing in the business. I cannot stomach that I have to stay here for two more nights and am tempted to walk next door to the alternative Marriott or Hampton Inn a Hilton property to see if either is in the same, more poor, or hopefully better condition. I have filed a complaint with Marriott Bonvoy and am trying to determine if I can get an earlier flight out and not stay at this property a third night.

Breakfast options were not good. Very pricy. $7 coffee. No refills.

The outside door near our room would not open with key card. The whirlpool was not operational.

Hot tub did not work bad location behind ihop always having fights and drama there thanks …

Beds were a little worn out/uncomfortable, but other than that it was perfect for our little short stay.

Didn't have breakfast cause it was just toast and bagels basically. -no big deal for me, I just ended up going to a restaurant but was a little disappointed that the breakfast was not what I am accustomed to when traveling for biz.
