Great location and food facilities

The location was great, the bed was comfy and the staff were very nice.

Cons:

The room was not as clean as I would have expected considering the cost. The shower was mouldy, the bath had hair in and the room had small items on the ground left from other guests (like a cuff link). I checked in late so didn’t see these issues until late at night. The issue was cleaned when I marked the room for service & left a note for the cleaner but it did leave me with feeling dissatisfied with the first night.

Profeesional and freindly stall. Breakfast was great. Love staying at the stamford.

I return to the Stamford time and again

View excellent
Roon service was great. Food good and hot.

Cons:

I look forward to buffet breakfast on the terrace. As a lone traveller it is lovely to sit and watch the water. I have been to the Stamford many times and the standard of fair has declined. Small things like, fewer fruit juice choices, coffee machine coffee, potatot gems and not hash browns. Going forward I would not include breakfast at booking. I went to cafe next door, this time which was better.

Pros:

Concierge staff are very friendly and efficient. The bathroom has been updated. The buffet breakfast is a nice touch. Car parking is available downstairs in the same complex as the hotel.

Cons:

Poor mini-bar selection. The superior river view room is small. The antique room chairs are uncomfortable. The hot food at the buffet was not hot enough in spite of being kept on warmers.
