Clean hotel, friendly staff in a great location.Good value for money.
Pros:

Great location, just far enough away from the noise of the city area.
Lovely pool area and rooms were a good size.

Cons:

Only one set of lifts. We seemed to have to walk a long way to get to them from our room. Not sure if that was due to the renovations being done at the moment.

The hotel will be lovely when finished with renovations. The pool is lovely and the welcome cookie a lovely touch.

Don’t stay there.
Pros:

It is being renovated. We were put in a first floor room right next to the renovations. Unbelievably noisy during the day.

A $6 charge for room service.

A $10a day charge for internet.

Cons:

I disliked most things. The only good thing was the staff who were lovely.

The BEST in Darwin
Pros:

The best property in my opinion in Darwin.
Room was up to expectations, Price was well worth it - in fact paid more for another place that was non-comparable to DoubleTree.
Only regret was not having my entire stay at Darwin here.
Pool was the best I encountered in Darwin. We had dinner and breakfast at the hotel and were very pleased with both.
Hotel also gives out great cookies!

Cons:

There is construction just next door.
Work starts early around 7am.

Disappointing
Pros:

Average breakfast. Had the basics but not special..

Cons:

I can’t understand why you have to pay extra for daily WiFi connection. I haven’t seen this for many years.
The construction noise was intrusive (and 7am) and our first room was at eye level with workers on a gantry. The staff were lovely and moved us but on speaking to other people in and out of the hotel, this is a long term problem which should not have impacted our stay. I felt really sorry for the staff who must be dealing with this on a daily basis.

When i asked for more eggs was told it would be another $28 after all ready paying in advance for breakfast

The staff at the desk, in the restaurant and bar were wonderful. They were competent and helpful and they made my brief stay. My room was comfortable and large.

I could not find a way to turn the air conditioner off. The room got very cold.

I originally booked two night but ended up extending and staying 2 weeks. Didn’t want to leave. So relaxing and comforta

The staff are amazing. The rooms are very clean. There is always someone at reception to help with your needs 24/7. The pool are is absolutely epic.

Cons:

Paying a fee for every order for room service otherwise you’ll have to go down yourself to get it. Found this odd and unnecessary. Dinner time at the restaurant is unorganised and sometimes hard to get proper table service.
