Badly let down by inappropriate breakfast time
Pros:

Good room, excellent facilities. Staff coped well with a check-in system that was clearly not up to the job, managed to remain pleasant in spite of the frustration they (and we) experienced. As below, they deserve better.

Cons:

Impossible to eat breakfast because it was served too late. We were travelling by train from Portugal to Madrid and stopping over at Badajoz; the only viable train of the day departs Badajoz at 08:30hr, at a weekend breakfast does not start until 08:00hr (even on a weekday it is 07:30hr) and the walk to the station is 15 minutes so Eastbound train passengers have no opportunity at all for breakfast. Quite simply: this is not good enough; nowhere else in Europe have we been inconvenienced in this way (and, having paid in advance for breakfast, we also consider ourselves significantly overcharged for our stay). Although we were obviously disappointed and angry, the staff - again doing well in difficult circumstances - were powerless to help. This is a management problem and the management is letting down staff and customers who deserve better! We cannot, surely, be the only customers who ever used Hotel Rio to stop over when travelling by train. Until this is sorted, we certainly cannot recommend Hotel Rio for any rail passengers passing through Badajoz.

Buen hotel con buena ubicación, pero cama subóptima
Pros:

Buena ubicación al lado de zona verde para pasear. Restaurante anexo.

Cons:

La cama no era cómoda y la ropa de cama daba demasiado calor.

Para hotel de 3 estrelas satisfaz bem.
Pros:

Jacuzi, quarto bastante grande com maquina de café, cama xxl.

Cons:

Sem vista desafogada. piso 1 ficou mesmo por cima do telheiro da entrada do hotel. O funcionário que fez o check in totalmente antipático, nunca olhou para nós. Pedimos duas vezes informação sobre parque de estacionamento e elevador e falou tão depressa que não percebemos nada.

1) As suítes selecionadas tinham banheiras com hidromassagem.
2) Os funcionários simpáticos.
3) Cafeteria em frente deliciosa.

Cons:

1) Quarto premium não compensa, pegamos suítes para algumas e vinha com banheira de hidromassagem, no premium não tinha…
2) Fomos com a ideia de que a piscina estaria a funcionar (escolhemos o hotel com este objetivo) - a piscina estava fechada. Deviam indicar isso no site da booking para alertar as pessoas e para que as mesmas sejam informadas antes e possam escolher ir ou não ir…
3) Dentro dos quartos alguns lugares estavam sujos…
