Caroline, Brianna, and Felicia made our stay at the Norfolk Waterside Marriott exceptional. They were warm, friendly, efficient, and genuinely personable, making every interaction feel welcoming rather than routine.

Their combination of professionalism, great personalities, and sincere hospitality truly stood out. They are wonderful ambassadors for the Marriott brand and a big reason we would happily return.

As a frequent traveler who spends countless nights in hotels for business, I can say with absolute certainty that my recent weekend stay at the Norfolk Waterside Hotel on Main Street was nothing short of spectacular. Words truly cannot express how impressed and relaxed I was from the absolute moment I checked in until the second I departed.First and foremost, a massive thank you goes out to the housekeeping team. Walking into a room that is genuinely clean and completely spotless set the perfect tone for a stress-free business trip. Their flawless attention to detail did not go unnoticed.The dining experience here is on an entirely different level. The breakfast buffet was absolutely delicious, but what truly blew me away was the world-class service. The Manager on Duty, Ms. Brandy, possesses a rare level of warm hospitality and sharp professionalism that instantly melts your heart and makes you feel valued. On the line, Mike and Hanna were absolute stars at the grill—they were incredibly kind, helpful, and you could taste that every single item was prepared with genuine love. To top it all off, our waiter Avion provided elite-level table service. He was prompt, exceptionally kind, and deeply respectful. I was amazed when he remembered my exact order from the morning prior!The entire staff deserves endless thanks and gratitude for orchestrating such an amazing, relaxing, and seamless stay. They have mastered the art of customer service. Whenever I touchdown in Virginia for future business, I already know exactly where I am staying. I have officially found my home away from home! Thank you, Waterside staff!

We stayed for 5 days at a convention. Every interaction with a staff member was terrific! Our housekeeping service for room 2322 was excellent, and staff members were helpful and friendly without exception. The lounge (we are platinum) was on the ground floor and had fine breakfast in the morning and snacks in the evening. Drinks were well stocked. There are some fit and finish issues, and the elevators were very slow at peak times of day, but overall it was a good stay.

I had a great experience staying at this hotel. The property was clean, comfortable, and welcoming, and the overall service made my stay even better. Who stood out to me was the valet, Jamar. He was extremely well-mannered, professional, and helpful from the moment I arrived. He greeted me with a positive attitude, handled everything with care, and made sure I felt welcomed. The customer service and attention to detail really reflected the level of hospitality this hotel strives for.

I appreciate employees who go above and beyond to make guests feel valued. The professionalism and kindness were a highlight of my stay, and I would definitely recommend this hotel to others.
