We booked this hotel specifically to attend the F1 Japanese Grand Prix by catching the shuttle bus reserved to pick us from the area near this hotel, but staying here completely ruined our experience. On the morning of the event, the hotel experienced a total elevator failure. There was zero staff presence to guide guests, and no clear signage indicating whether the emergency stairs could be used without triggering alarms. We were stranded until a staff member finally appeared 30 minutes later.
Because of their failing infrastructure, we missed our scheduled morning transport. This forced us into a grueling 4-hour detour involving three packed trains and a 2km walk that left us with severe blisters. We missed half the event we traveled internationally to see.
The worst part? A staff member explicitly promised us a refund for the disruption that morning. But when we spoke to the front desk that evening, management aggressively denied the refund, told us we were "wasting their time," and mockingly told us to "just write a review on Booking.com." So, here it is. Absolutely terrible customer service, failing facilities, and a complete lack of accountability. Avoid at all costs.
