Price, location, reputation
Avoid this hotel until at least late January when their ongoing renovation is scheduled to be completed. Not only is there ongoing cumbersome and noisy renovation BUT there is a very strong toluene hydrocarbon solvent smell which caused me to sneeze, have a runny nose and have irritated eyes. As a chemistry major I also know that hydrocarbon solvents are carcinogenic, cancer-causing.
In my opinion, they should shut this hotel down for safety reasons until renovations are completed and certainly until these dangerous and malodorous solvents are no longer present. In addition, they charged me $219 for weekend rates which is double the weekday rate. And they charged $150 for a longer stay pet fee even though we checked out after 3 miserable days of our scheduled 9 day stay.
Christian was very kind and understanding at the front desk if I can find something positive to say.
Obviously, we were highly dissatisfied with our overpriced stay which became increasingly worse day after day. When hotel asked us to move because of construction/renovation, we took the opportunity to check out/ escape AND go to Hilton Garden Inn next door which was cleaner and much less expensive. We shall choose Hilton Garden Inn Middleton again for our next visit since we come frequently to this area.
Sincerely,
KHS, M.D.
Update: Received an email from Daniel M., General Manager: "Because of the inconvenience you experienced, I have refunded your entire stay. Additionally, we would love the opportunity to welcome you back and show you the improvements we made to the property. Please also, accept one complimentary night with us on a future date of your choice.
If you feel comfortable and believe we have addressed your concerns, we would greatly appreciate it if you might consider updating or revisiting your review."
Problem is that he was untruthful and never refunded my entire stay as he clearly stated he had done and ignored my texts and emails.

The room was spacious and clean!
Easy to navigate to surrounding areas and the conference I was attending.
Locations and attendance. Clean, functional and staff
Breakfast could have more options
Air kept the room cool like we like it. Typical hotel breakfast which was fine. All food was hot. Hotel has some age to it but was clean.
Very mediocre. The housekeeping is less than casual. They in principle offer in every other day, and on the day it was "done", all the housekeeper did was pull up the covers and change the towels. The hotel was nearly empty so they could not have been too busy to do it right.
Very good
Excellent 👍
Great hotel, very clean! Big rooms and decent bed. Pool was very nice. Great breakfast selection! I would stay here again!
Clean room, nice pool, air conditioned, food options nearby!
