The hotel location was convenient, the staff was very friendly, and the room was clean. They also had a nice complimentary refreshment set up in the lobby.
A lot of the on-site parking was blocked off. This also limited the option to valet park. There was an overflow lot, but it was a block away. Luckily, I was not traveling alone and the weather was nice. There were a couple of homeless people that we had to pass to get to the overflow lot. I would not feel comfortable staying here by myself if I had to worry about finding parking. We are not sure if the lack of on-site parking was just temporary or not. The other reason our rating was a little lower than we would have liked to give, was that the hotel elevator closed EXCEPTIONALLY quickly! Because we needed to park in the overflow lot, the valet was nice enough to let us leave our car in the front of the hotel while we took our three suitcases and carry-ons up to the room. When we got on the elevator to go back down to the lobby, there was an elementary school aged girl in there. The girl told us that she was looking for her parents. She got on the elevator and then the door closed before they got on. We got to the lobby, the door opened, and my husband walked out. But the door closed before the girl and I could follow. It then headed back up. When the girl and I finally got back down to the lobby, my husband was right there with a hotel manager. So, they were notified at that time about the situation. Throughout our stay, the guests using the elevator were sure to warn each other about how quickly the door shuts. Once you know that, it was simple enough to press the open button while people are entering and exiting. However, it is dangerous if you are unaware of the fact. You could lose the members of your party or a limb!
I have stayed here 1 time before and it was wonderful. I enjoy the cleanliness of the property. The shuttle to the cruise port is always great and I always give him a tip :-) The ducks are the cherry on top. I love looking at all the different ones and taking 1 home to remind me of the trip and stay. Also as a Hilton Honors member the snacks and water bottles are life savers at night and wifi :-) It's the little things that I love.
We dropped the rental car off a little early because of the lot at hotel was full. I know this happens so it didn't effect my trip at all.

Room keys kept getting deactivated
Upon arrival, I was told the AC wasn't working and that they were happy to cancel my reservation. Despite that, I wasn't able to receive a refund. I tried calling and emailing the manager, but I still didn't receive written confirmation, which was essential to get my money back from booking.com. I have stayed at a different hotel and ended up paying twice.
I like it. It was close to places I needed to be.
What I didn’t like was the rundown elevators needs updating even the rooms and the showers

The location was great! Walkable distance to many different places! Loved & appreciated luggage hold for early arrivals before check in!

The room was clean. When I turned on the shower, the drain was slow to drain. I called the front desk and the staff quickly fixed the issue. Their housekeeping staff should have alert maintenance about the slow drain prior to any tired traveler tried to shower with water building up past their ankles. That was the only irritating issue I had with the stay. I expected more from Hilton. I have had that issue at cheaper hotels and chose Hilton as to avoid shower delays after a long day at a Trade Show. The issue was taken care of but a good housekeeper should, but a good housekeeper should alert the staff while cleaning, not ignore it and let a customer experience a water backup
The shuttle that took us to the Trade Show and back. It made dining out more enjoyable. I did not need to find parking. The driver was already aware of where the destination I needed locally was at. The appetizers and welcome drinks in the Lobby were very pleasant touch.
The staff were helpful and kind.
The property seems to have been neglected for a while. The electrical plug in the bathroom did not work, at times only one elevator was working, generally the property was dingy.
Seemed a bit average for the Hilton brand.
