The ice machine
The front desk is rude and has no patience. We have an emergency displace us from our home and already super stressed out. He acted like our being there and having to find the money to stay another night was an inconvenience to him.
Price
The floor was coming up and would trip you as you walked in the room. The room smelled like mold and the A/C kept blowing black stuff all over the bed.
Location, friendly staff, rooms that allow smoking. Free gym usage next door is neat.
The breakfast quality- eggs were lukewarm, as was the gravy, and the biscuits were a bit dry and hard.
The pool was closed, there was hair in the shower that didn’t belong to us, and the bed was uncomfortable.
Rm 118 has very poorly laid laminated floors. The floor has a severe buckle in the middle of the floor. And some of the panels have buckled up so much to separate at the joints. Leaving what could turn into a bad day if someone where to catch their foot on it and cut themselves. The shower head in the bath room was extremely loose and rattled when you turned on the shower. The plumbing had about 6” of play in the pipping allowing the head to have so much movement. I would say they did not fasten the pipiping at all behind the shower which leads to this condition. The bedding and towels definitely have seen better days . They were clean but stained. Over the room itself is large . The beds are so so . One sits higher than the other and one is soft and one is hard. They have different bed frames on each one. The water does not get hot in the shower but it does get warm-ish enough to say it’s not cold. The breakfast they served is your avg. hotel paper thin bacon, dehydrated eggs, Rock hard biscuits and canned sausage gray. So avoid unless you have a tough stomach. Their is no juice or milk cartons. Just a community jug of milk for cereal. The plus side is location of the hotel is good. They say the hotel was recently remodeled, and by remodeled they mean poor flooring and poorly painted walls. But location is good, you are right beside the interstate and food options. If you are in a bind and just need a place to stay that is pretty cheap in all aspects. This will do. I normally book rooms for 14-21 days and 2 nights is all I could handle. The noise level is pretty high and you can hear everyone talking in the halls and they do have smoking rooms on the upper floor but you can still smell it even on the lower floors. Location is about the only Good thing they have going for them. If they truly put in some effort they would have a solid place.
Look at the hotel responses to the reviews, they are auto generated and all the same.
Horrible staff horrible accommodations. Checkout in less than an hour and they still kept my money.
Everything
The price was very inexpensive.
The place had a bad smell and overall seemed dirty. The breakfast was ok but seemed lacking. There was nothing to drink other than coffee. No water or juice. The rooms were ok. You could tell that they attempted to update, but very cheaply. The flooring was probably laid over top of the old carpet, and it was coming up in places. The area around/parking lot seemed dingy and not a good area (not that I had any issues as far as safety, just didn't seem safe).
Staff was friendly
The room smelt like mildew so bad I had to buy scentsies to overpower it, mold in the bathroom, floor was bubbled up, blood stains on the pillow
Front staff was nice especially having to extend our stay multiple times. Convenient location. Reasonably clean
More breakfast option like orange juice or apple juice would be nice. The side entrance door being right next to the trash where ppl smoked was a lot. Would be beneficial to move that trash so non smokers don’t have to walk right thru that smoke smell
Everything was dirty floors sheets blankets towels and was medication in the bed when covers were pulled back. Pool was like bath water dirty and no chemicals were in at all and the pump sounded like it was going to blow up . No discount either . Breakfast no juice no eggs no cereal or fruit only waffles no butter or meat .
Same as above
The desk clerk said only 2nd floor rooms available. I said I' 81 yrs and hip problem. He repeated only second floor available and so I shlepped up stairs with 2 pieces of luggage.
The specific hotel website says "Elevator" under Amenities There is no elevator.
The dead lock did not work - no room security.
The exterior stairway door was wedged open with a rock. No hotel security.
There was no ironing board. Website says there is ironing board every room.
There was no " Do not disturb" card for outside door handle ( and dead lock, which would block maids key, doesn't work).
The bed was comfortable
