The location to Miami Campus
For starters there was literally 10 cars in the entire parking lot and we got put on the 3rd floor. Elevator was out of a scary movie. Hallway was disgustingly warm and smelly. Put in room 322 where it’s obvious they’ve had roof issues by the waves in the ceiling. The “hot” water coming from the tub faucet turned to ice water when the shower was turned on. Whoops too late already in it. When I called the front desk to report the problem there was no answer. I went downstairs to find the employee sitting there watching something on a computer to the side. When “maintenance “ came up in their flip flops to fix it, they also couldn’t reach the front desk by phone,we were moved to the room next door 324 when they were unable to figure it out. The new room had less waves in the ceiling and “hot” water in the shower, however the drains in both the sink and tub were extremely slow. We booked 2 nights and I figured we could suffer through since we wouldn’t really be there. Our first morning the “breakfast” consisted of mostly items that can be purchased at Walmart/Sam’s Club. The orange juice coming out of the machine had bugs in it. After a very long day in almost 100 degree temps we came back to an equally hot room. The air was not working properly. “Housekeeping” brought towels and that was it…the absolute bare minimum. We debated a quick dip in the “pool” however there was no movement in it other than the obvious hairs floating all over the top of the murky water so scrapped that idea quickly. This is the only time I have ever worried about bed bugs when I’ve stayed at a hotel. When checking out in the morning I told the same employee who was there every time we went by and when we checked in that the drains weren’t working right and the air wasn’t either. This employee, whom honestly was not well groomed or professionally dressed ever, just looked at me and said “oh ok someone will look into it.”
Only accessible room has 1 bed
The location is excellent. The staff is friendly and supportive. The facility is super cleaned and well maintained.
Location
Not clean
Close to Campus. This Hotel has changed its name to Sleep Inn. The people working the front desk are really nice and helpful. The beds were very comfortable. The breakfast was a basic assortment as expected from Choice Hotels. It was quiet all through the night.
there were fruit flies everywhere around the cereal
The AC kept going off & would not cool our room. The TV did not work at first either.
Clean hotel and friendly staff. Great location.
convenience
Cost was outrageous! We stayed at Renaissances in Cincy for 189 a night.....total rip off in Oxford.
The place was clean and convenient, staff friendly
Next door people made a lot of noises at night including turning the TV on at 2 am and 3:30 am, we could hear all and unfortunately couldn't sleep well for that
Chose this hotel for the pool, but the pool was closed our entire stay. Had I Known that i would've booked elsewhere.
Additionally, my wife and I both have dust allergies and the room was very dusty. Dust on top of the bed frame, mirror, desk etc...
Alot, food was bland and lukewarm so I chose cereal the next morning.
No much
Old hotel. Weird smells. Not staying there again.
Location for our plans was good.
Breakfast was horrible. Expired foods snd dried bread in the display case. Toaster didn't work and eggs in the steamer with filthy water. Rooms overpriced and dirty.
Staff breakfast clean
