First Hotel on New Zealand Holiday
Pros:

This was our first stop off on a three-week holiday covering both south & north Island.
Hotel was easy to find accommodation 10/10. Room was comfortable with everything we needed for the couple of days we stayed. Staff 10/10 could not do enough to help if we needed help. Included with our room was breakfast 8/10 bacon was more like sliced ham than bacon, but everything was fresh & plenty to go around.
The age-old question would we stay again a firm yes.
Car park was tight & small, but we already knew this before we arrived. A very pleasant start to our holiday can walk to town but some good hills involved.

Das Hotel ist gut und ruhig gelegen, aber viel zu teuer. Für diesen Preis würde ich es nicht mehr buchen

Bequemes Bett, überdurchschnittlich grösseres Zimmer, sehr ruhig

Cons:

Preis - Leistungs Verhältnis stimmt nicht. Für den sehr teuren Zimmer Preis (ohne Frühstück!) hätte ich zumindest eine Aussicht/Gartensicht erwartet. Stattdessen war meine Sicht auf eine Hauswand.
Lage ist gut und ruhig, aber doch 10 Minuten bergauf, also nicht ganz so zentral wie angekündigt.

Pros:

Great hotel - location very close to botanical gardens and downtown. Very comfortable hotel, great staff and wonderful breakfast options.

Won’t stay there again as there are so many other better options

Its location was great.

Cons:

The room was terribly placed, like a dungeon. It should not be sold given it faces a wall, and we paid a premium price. We moved out straight after our two days stay despite having 5 days in Queenstown. The staff didn’t pick up the phone at all when called multiple times — Promised to change the room but never heard back.

Hotel nice but don’t eat there
Pros:

Nice comfortable rooms amd pleasant house keeping staff. Breakfast definitely cool bacon and non appetising sausage. We had the misfortune to dine 2 nights in the restaurant. Poorly experienced staff serving sub standard food. Eg fish and chips advertised with tartare sauce. Served mayonnaise. First night when asking where tartare sauce was further mayonnaise served. Second time mayonnaise initially but tartare sauce served when requested. Expensive but unpleasant dining experience. Happy to stay there but not to eat there
