This was a very disappointing stay. The hotel is currently under construction, which was not disclosed before booking and only mentioned at check-in. Our room was placed directly next to construction, making it noisy and uncomfortable.
The room had multiple issues. The shower only had lukewarm water. The pullout couch was extremely uncomfortable—you could feel the springs and metal bars—and it had crumbs on it when opened. No pillows were provided for the pullout couch until we asked, and we were denied additional pillows beyond two flat ones. Only one small, worn blanket was provided, with no comforter.
Parking was very limited because the garage is filled with construction equipment. The elevator was in poor condition, covered with cardboard and duct tape, and it got stuck on the second floor, forcing me to carry two 50 lb suitcases down the stairs.
Overall, the lack of transparency, cleanliness, comfort, and proper accommodations made for a very frustrating experience.
Unfortunately, there was very little to like about this stay.

The location was perfect for both SeaWorld and the Zoo. A little off the freeway.
The hotel was short-staffed and parking was tight. The towel rack broke off the wall in the bathroom. The pool was extremely cold.
They charge for parking, yet there’s no where to park. Pay for continental breakfast and breakfast ran out 1 hr after opening
Pros- the location and the bed was comfortable. I had a couch and a another tv.
Cons- the hotel is run down, carpet smells, the elevator sounded like it was breaking every time I used it. The breakfast (microwaved waffles, cereal and toasted bread, soggy scrambled eggs, and links) not worth the price. In top of that they have somewhere hidden that they charge for parking per night! ! $30!! I have no idea why. It’s not a fancy hotel it’s no where in a fancy area and it’s a pointless fee!! I got the notices after I booked about parking.
Location and free breakfast
The staff
Close to everything we wanted to do
The first room we were issued was ok but after getting showered and ready to relax an watch TV the TV didn’t work.Called the front desk and they sent maintenance up to try to fix the problem very nice guy he tried different things like changing out the box nothing was working. So we had to move to a different room. Mind you we had to get dressed ,pack all our clothes again move to a new room at 8:30pm .
I felt I was inconvenience and called the ft desk to see if she could maybe cancel our parking fees .She responded by telling me , we didn’t make you stay in that room but she would reimburse 1 night parking. I was ok with that but never seen a reimbursement.
Property was clean. Staff was friendly.

I love the location! It was near everything San Diego has to offer. However there were a few bugs in the room that freaked the kids out and we made sure to wash everything when we returned home. The staff when I first arrived was not kind of rude but the staff the next day was great. Not sure if we would stay here again and the price was a little steep considering our experience.
Bugs, price, different experience with different staff
