Service generally great, cleanliness questionable to the point I am done with Ibis. Rooms tired
Pros:

The staff were great and Ibis should be so proud. In particular the beautiful young girl serving breakfast was one of the most incredible staff I have ever met. She really should be looked at for a Management role within Ibis, I was stunned by her committed and service. Reception staff were also so welcome and wonderful.

Cons:

I spilt coffee on my bed after tripping on my shoe (My fault. I lodged a room service clean with reception around 10.30 am. When I returned to my room later that day the service had not been provided. I went down to reception and they told me that they received a message from housekeeping around the completion of their shift that I had left on my door handle, the sign that I didn’t want my room cleaned. I hadn’t given the sign a second thought as I believed that reporting the mishap to reception would override the sign. At the very least I believe I should have been contacted to confirm I needed a clean. Reception offered me a set of sheets to make the bed up myself, I thought this was a bit poor. I did asked reception if I could move to a different room which they quickly actioned, only to go to my new room to find the toilet seat lid up and urine on the seat and floor. I then lost total faith in housekeeping. Reception quickly provided me a different room but to be honest I spent the rest of my stay questioning the true cleanliness of my room. The last full day of my stay I had my room attended to but returned to no clean coffee mugs, I would have thought this would be part of the service. I believe that Ibis should be more careful about allergies at breakfast, I have a nut allergy and the beautiful staff went to extensive measures to ensure I was kept safe. May I recommend signage and single use butter, Vegemite and peanut butter etc as well as keeping your current set up, upon finishing my toast my lips became tingly and I spent the rest of the day in the bathroom with a very upset tummy. I suspect a customer had dipped the peanut butter knife into the butter. Please do not take this part as a complaint, it is simply feedback to keep allergic customers safe and protect Ibis. In no way do I blame any staff for customers, things happen.

Easy access to city sights. Short walk to RAC Arena and close to car parking.

Good hotel in a good location
Pros:

Good location close to mall and free red cat bus stops very close by. Good cafe over the road.Room was clean and quiet. No remote for tv but one was delivered promptly when reception was informed. I didn’t eat at the hotel sadly as I am gluten free as have coeliac. Would so love to be able to get breakfast and food from hotels.

Cons:

Only thing I didn’t like was hotel didn’t cater for coeliac.

The AC in the room was poor and smelled of smoke, I was charged $25:00 for parking when the check in said they would pay it, the staff member at check out had bad BO
